2/1... Has given up on helping everyone else, has let the challenge website and thread turn into a state of disrepair. Will have his fans defend him and say "he's helped us so much so far, he deserves a break" when the fact is he hasn't delivered what he has promised at all. Is only using this thread to drive traffic to his multiple sites, a clever, yet transparent monetization method.

Amazon (& Clickbank) Money

Now there are so many ways to make money from Amazon I barely know where to begin! I guess its best to start with the simpliest methods so we will look at how we can use reviews to make Amazon Money... I should probably say here that this method also works amazingly for other Clickbank and Plimus products.

Basically all you do is write your own review for the product and add it to your blog with a link to the product at the end. However it gets even easier, and I want to introduce you to a new plugin that is an amazing help for Amazon marketing.

1. Goto your dashboard, and click Plugins.
2. In the search box enter Amazon and click search.
3. You want to find the plugin "WordPress-Amazon-Associate" in the list, click install and then activate.
4. Click goto settings.
5. Untick the Active box for any amazon sites where you do not have an associate account (or sign up to them as each country has its own affiliate program).
6. You then need to log into your amazon account. In the left it will have your tracking ID. You need to copy this into the settings for the amazon plugin where it says Associate Tag. Do this for each country you want to support
7. You then need to goto Amazon Web Services at http://rfurl.net/aws and create a free account. Once you have done this Login.
8. Click the Account link at the top of the page, and goto Security Credentials. Scroll down to the Access Keys section...
9. You need to copy the Public Key to the plugin settings page, and then click Show and copy your Secret Key to the Secret Key box on the plugin settings page.
10. Click Validate Credentials to make sure you have done this right, and then click Update Settings.

I just got back from vacation and I am continuing to follow crashed's great challenge.

But I am stuck on one part: I have been looking everywhere for the plugin crashed mentioned, "WordPress-Amazon-Associate" but I cannot seem to find it. Perhaps it has changed its name?

If someone knows the name of the correct plugin, could you please reply?

This is the site of the creator. Ask him where to find it. It is strange I could not also find it in search but the plugin is active on my site. Hope this site will help you

Yes, I couldn't find it in the search either, if I could get some more input that'd be great.

It is funny about the link. I just checked it before I posted it and it was working but now there seems to be an error. Try again after a few hours maybe it will work. Also once again I reconfirm that the plugin is working fine.

Day 17: Loose Ends

Well I believe I owe an apology over taking so long to produce this post. It is almost as if I have been on a massive mission just to keep up, work, riots, meetings and conferences. However now that I am back for a bit before school starts again. It's onwards towards more (traffic), and higher (earnings) from your site. There's stuff we have signed up for, yet have not started utilising so now it is time to start leveraging all of this!

Easy Social Bookmarking

It has been said that link building for google is important, however putting your links where people can find (and click them) is probably more important. I am a avid believer that social is the way to go, and as such I want to introduce you to Onlywire. The service is free and simple, it allows you to add your post to several social networks in a single click.

1. Goto http://rfurl.net/ow
2. Create a free account, copy the html code they give you to a page on your site, enter the page url to confirm you have done this.
3. Now goto your wordpress plugins page, search for the WP OnlyWire Auto Poster, install this and add your onlywire details in the plugin settings.
4. Now when you publish a new post it will automatically be submitted to all these social sites. Magic

I shared this on the webinar a few weeks ago, and now I am going share it here as a way to make up for being so slack recently. This one piece of information can change your life, it can take you for earning dollars to thousands of dollars. And it is the most simple thing you have ever seen...

Everyone targets the major social networks, and whilst there is the ability to make money, it takes more effort, you have to be more creative, and you have to find people interested. Now how about if you could just target a community all about your niche? Or a social network with just people that are interested in what you buying. Have a look at these:

Have a look through the list, how many are you using? How many are you aware off? How many could you use?

Generally in terms of moneytizing these, use facebook as a case study, think about what works on facebook and try it on these. Think about what used to work on Myspace and try it on these.

My Amazing Pop-up box...

Well anyone that has seen the Crashed Challenge blog has noticed my awsome pop-up talking about the competition. It actually tripled email subscriptions for me, and I did promise to show you how so here goes.

This can be used for many things...

1. Goto your Plugins page, click Add New.
2. Enter Cool fade popup and click Search. Find it in the list and click Install Now. Click Activate now...
3. Goto the settings, set your title and other options, I like to set Enable Popup Session to YES.
4. Click the Goto Content Management button, you have to actually enter this in HTML code yourself. However you can simply set it to display a banner etc from a affiliate network by pasting in the HTML code they give you.
5. Make sure the Group Name is the same as on the popup settings page.
6. Test it by visiting your site.

Pimp your Facebook Page
Well we created our Facebook page previously, I have reviewed a great Facebook Guide recently, so I am trying to include just my methods without disclosing the "ideas" covered in this guide. To this end I am keeping this post pretty basic.

• Pretty your page - Add a unique profile picture related to your page topic, in addition also upload 10 - 15 images to a photo albumn on your page as these will then display across the top of the page under the page title.
• Link your page to twitter - Goto http://rfurl.net/ft, find the page in the list and click Link To Twitter. Enter your twitter details and now when you make a status update it will also be posted to your twitter account.
• Give people a reason to share your page - At the moment facebook has removed the invite friends functions, however if people like or comment your status it will show up in their newsfeed. Start debates, ask open ended questions.
• Complete your page - Make sure you fill in all the information you can, your website, your location, your about box and your description box!

My Twitter Cheat Sheet

Twitter when used in the correct way is extremely powerful, can you imagine 1000 people tweeting your message out to all of their followers? Obviously this is an extreme example, however I have seen it happen. Sadly however I have seen it go wrong so many times, so here is my cheat sheet.

• Targetting - Are your followers going be interested? Why? and How?
• Punctuation, Spelling and Grammar - Depends on the why and how, but getting this wrong could cost you dearly.
• The 10/20/30/40 rule - 10% Your Selling links, 20% Retweets of other peoples tweets, 30% Other links, 40% personal. So basically in every 10 tweets you make, there will be 1 with a page where you are trying to sell something, you will retweet two other peoples tweets/links, you will link to 3 non-selling pages or articles, and the other 4 will be replying to people or general tweets.
• Personality - Spend 15 minutes a day just replying to tweets in your timeline, or replying to tweets people have sent you... Make it real

It was a long time coming and I hope it was worth the wait, now Day 18 will follow in the next 24 - 48 hours and will be a rather large Question and Answer post from the past however long it has been. Stay tuned people...

Ok this one made me laugh... I've actually started packing as I am moving to a bigger house as I've kinda outgrown my current place. Though I am suprised that caught up in UK Riots didn't make ya list

I was reading some of the posts in the page prior to this and they just piss me off. People are posting things ushering crashed to post and update, and even spamming this great thread with crap like "unpacking for 2 weeks?"

crashed is doing us all a huge favor by sharing his expertise and knowledge with us and the least we can do is wait patiently. He has already shared so much with us and why don't you use your time spent complaining to write another article or do some social networking?

On another note, to crashed, TwitItAway seems to be back to the problem from a month ago... the Activation still does not work. How are things going with Twitter?
