[Journal/Method/spoonfeed] The 'Crashed Challenge' 30 Days to Money...

Been lurking in this thread for a while, but I think it's time I jump on the train as well. Hopefully, I can get days 0-3 done today.

Also, is anyone else doing this method with 2-3 sites at once? I think that is what I will be doing.

On the youtube plug in, it is now called Artiss Youtube Embed and based on the settings they are not like yours. Settings are very minimal. Maybe I am missing something.
 
I have a question for everyone doing the challenge, are you guys seeing an increase in traffic every week? I am adding more people on twitter daily etc and writing new content but I seem to be stuck at around 30-50 people max per day. Some days its lower some its a bit more, I am wondering if you guys are getting more traffic or are stuck at the same amount like me. Thanks :)
 
I've finally taken the plunge and started with this, now. Chosen a subject I know a lot about, and am up to the content writing part of Day 2 as of now. One post down, four to go!

Same. I think this is the hard part where we actually need good enough content to warrant more visitors. All that our work so far has done is given us an interview with potential customers, but to mechanically draw more traffic can't be easy can it? CAN IT?

If this 30 day challenge really does boil down to figuring out creative ways to get spikes in traffic, I can see a lot of people dropping off. I, for one, have already accepted this fact and am spending much time thinking about different content I can supply that I believe people want and can't find. The degree of creativity and inspiration needed for success in this business will be interesting to figure out.
 
If you do not have a domain or hosting I have just brought 100 .info domains with various names and have set up hosting for them. I will give you a domain & hosting absolutely free if you cannot afford your own. I will give instructions on how to get your free domain & hosting first thing tommorow morning.

FTP Software

Do not use FileZilla, it stores (or at least it did) the password list in plain text allowing your site to get easily and quickly hacked.

I use WinSCP (free+open source) http://winscp.net/eng/download.php

I know it supports the secure protocols but when you get shown the connect to server window just select FTP in the protocol box...
 
Amazing thread... I registered up on these forums a LONG time ago, but only just returned, and now I have real determination to make some money. I have no experience with internet marketing really so this is a fresh start for me... I have plenty of time on my hands and am really looking forward to working my way through the challenge.

Initially I was going to follow the Wealthy Affiliate 30 day plan, but I feel that this might be more worthwhile!

I totally agree. Most other methods seem to steer people in the direction of creating a bunch of relatively worthless content just to fill space. However, if we want to keep visitors reading and coming back to our sites, it's crucial to provide interesting content.

When you look around at similar sites to the ones we're building, many of them aren't worthy of a second glance. By ensuring that our sites are, then BAM - we knock down a chunk of the competition.

It's a learning curve for sure. But it's all healthy. The process is full of little 'Eureka' moments like this.

Yeah I don't mind if you PM me at all :)

Also in terms of increasing traffic, try writing articles based on search phrases in Google Webmaster Tools that you are making impressions on but aren't ranking very well. These will be the ones lower down the list. Hopefully by writing articles with these heading you will draw more traffic based on these phrases.

i too am stuck around 30-50 a day, but thats only if i was to put loads of links on twitter. Still stuck with 14 likes on fb page, losing time for writing articles too :/ website has slipped down on the serps, everythings goin south :/

Stuck? Hell I'd be satisfied getting $10/day, haha. I'm on day 2 right now and got some good articles rolling out. Can't wait to see the outcome.

I presume he means 30-50 unique visitors a day?

I've just spent some time on Day 1, moving onto 2 soon! I've only read the first few pages of the thread so far and in that part noone has really posted links to their sites, and I wondered if there was a reason for that?

I'm really keen to post mine and get peoples thoughts on it, but not sure if there could be any downside lol?

Guys, I think the reason people don't post their sites is that they're afraid of having their ideas stolen and their niches saturated. It's a shame because in a thread like this, where people are essentially learning from each other, it could be really useful to compare our progress... but, this being "Black Hat World", there are some dodgy people about! Haha.

If we were a small private group, people would undoubtedly be happier to share their sites, but in such a large, open forum I can't see a way to do so safely. Swings & roundabouts...
 
Agreed with the above poster...I think people work hard to find a niche, keywords etc, and are scared of people stealing them. We can still share a bunch of details without going into that detail. Crashed , i think, went over some peoples' sites in his live session, but of course that was then.
 
Does any one know of a good link cloaker plugin cause the ones I have tried does not do the job!
