I was also curious to hear about other members ideas in how they are putting forth crashes knowledge. As far as myself I am into gaming and one practically game at that on the PS3. If I have down time I am either playing the game, on a forum related to the game or reading up and coming things for the franchise. So I was hoping I can put this time and focus that I am already putting in and hopefully make a couple bucks from it. This will be my first time ever doing this or remotely close so it will be cool to what comes out of it and most of all just learning about marketing.

Does anyone know if I can add banners from Clickbank? I found a great product for my niche but somehow cannot find how to insert banners from the clickbank hop link.
Also my question on Amazon is still not answered. When I search the plugin from a code given by Amazon UK I cannot find it but the same product can be found from Amazon US. Is there some kind of setting I need to fix in that plugin?

The links are just that, links. Visit the publishers product website and see if they have an affiliate link. Lots of them do. If not send them a quick e-mail and ask them if yiou can grab a banner or something off of their website.
I will go over the past few pages of the thread and do a Q&A update this afternoon, in the meantime...

I am probably going get a lot of flak for writting this post, however some things just have to be said...
If you don't know SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, and is the process by which you get your website higher in search engine results. For example if you type in crashed challenge into google, everything you see is about this site.
If you are reading this, and have not done Day 1 yet you will fail... (if you have started already and are up to date then skip this part!)
Yes, I can teach you how to make money... but more recently I have been getting more and more people that are struggling to even start the challenge. I decided to add a special little rant here on that...
People are trying to find a niche, then trying to research the niche, then deciding its not good enough, then looking for another niche. People are trying to read the entire challenge before they start. People are waiting for the entire challenge to be posted before they start.
You've failed!
There is no reason to do research, no reason to think about, no reason to read the entire challenge before you start, no reason to wait. You are making something simple complicated...
27 people that I am aware of are making money already. These are people that have done each day as its been released. In fact between them they have earnt nearly $400 (one guy claims to have earnt $2k+)... Why? Because they picked a subject, got a domain, and did the challenge as they read it. No thinking, no self-doubt, just doing it. For a lot of them it is the first money they have ever earnt online. You guys rock!
Now if you are one of these people that are thinking about it instead of doing it...

Updates, updates and more Updates...
Just a quick note, over the past week there have been several bugs in different plugins and some plugins have stopped working altogether. Wordpress has released version 3.2 which has many improvements, however the plugin interface also changed. At this point in time I would highly recommend that you perform all the updates in the following order:
Hopefully these updates have fixed all the problems previously experienced.
My thoughts on SEO...
Personally I believe SEO is a gambling game, you never know what the search engines are going do next as demonstrated by the Google Panda update where sites that were on page one vanished completely. However in as much as I hate it, there is use for it and I plan to explain my theories and thoughts here.
Social vs. SEO
If you have been following the challenge you will by now realise that I love social traffic, its amazing having other people marketing your website for you... I have driven 100,000 unique visitors to a site in a single day through twitter alone, had 1000's interact through facebook, and started way back on myspace.
Now the great thing about social is just so long as you have the basic SEO boxes ticked (i.e. you've installed the all-in-one seo plugin...) anything you do socially to promote you site will also improve your SEO. Amazing init?
Yet working to improve your SEO through linkbuilding does not guarauntee you traffic. It's pretty much like going to a casino and playing roulette, if it lands you win (i.e. get google top 3 ranking), but odds are you lose. Can you see why I love social?
The most common reason I believe people say social marketing doesn't work is because of low quality content, and a ugly or spammy looking site. When developing a site for social promotion it is important to remember it is for a person, not a computer algorithm. Colours are important, images are important, line spacing and font are important, and target your content at your audience. For example if you are targeting kids make your content easy to read, use simplier words. If you are targeting business people use business vocabulary, science use science vocabulary etc...
Make it easy for people to share your content, Sharedaddy is a good start, I will introduce you to a content locker that is directly linked to your facebook page in the next few days. In my own system every single post is bookmarked on 100's of different bookmarking sites, I will show you how you can easily and quickly do this as well in the next few posts.
Some Common Mistakes
After the last mastermind, and also looking at the PM's and messages that I recieve I have noticed a recurring theme of the mistakes that people are making. Here I try to address some of them
Poor Content
Using video in your blog is good, but using video to replace writting content is bad. For the first 7 - 10 days you need to be writting at least one 350+ word article each day! This will help you get indexed in google, and start building up your traffic stream. I mean if a user comes to your sites and see's random videos with little else going on they will not be coming back...
Poor Targetting
Back on Day 3 I introduced you to Guess Who where you created a target profile of your average visitor. Now from this you should have an idea of who your visitor is and their reasons for browsing your site. For example if your site is about diets, and your target is females... You should target female diet offers. If its male then male diet/fitness offers. The easiest way to find offers is to check OfferVault at http://rfurl.net/of (if you register use a email you dont mind getting spammed as they spam the crap outta you!).
Over advertising
If a user looks at your site and all they see are adverts they will never come back no matter how good your quality. I've covered my favourite layout in the Moneytization day. If you want to target google then by all means find a high adsense ctr theme, if not concentrate on giving the user the best experience possible!
Theme Colours
Make sure that your posts are easy to read in your theme, choose a theme that has good contrast in the colours, good spacing between the lines of your post, and a decent font size.
Summary
Make sure you are not making any of the common mistakes, and expect Day 17 Monday morning...

Have you checked the content width, or the sidebar width in the editor?

I beleive there is a count somewhere and ppl are making money. I'm not yet. Think I'm on day 7. I have confidence in it though - its really motivating as well! Hardest bit is still content (effort) though, I'm not lazy but its hard finding the time.

yea content is a pain for me too i hate writing, also google has kicked my ass for posting stuff related to sex so have now removed my adsense and delisted me from their search engine for my KWs LOL which is a shame as i was steadily rising for my KWs i have removed all the stuff and emailed them so hopefully they sort it out

I've read through the challenge applied it, join this forum today. What i want to know is how do you use other users followers in tweetattack. Complicated to me cos you need to browse each ones profiles. What about Facebook. No one is writing about it. Anyone who can direct me. THANKS.

Crashed, I did not see anything about this in the thread thus far...
Are there any existing tools that can automate the process even further? As I've followed you, it seems to me that at least the wordpress setup could be. Ie; having a custom installation of wordpress, all the plugins mentioned in it and configured, a script to create the msql database for it...then automatically creating the privacy page, ads, etc.
