I completely echo this sentiment. This is, BY FAR, more instructive than the thousands of wasted dollars worth of bs "get rich today by blogging" cb's I've had.

When I select a banner ad in MaxBounty, should it link to the landing page that you see in the preview when you click on the banner?

I clicked on the banner that I made however, it links me to a different page that looks nothing like the landing page preview.

The link for your banner will be automatically copied over with your affiliate ID in it already, so you don't need to change it. There's no need to change the code that Maxbounty gives you.

The link for the "preview landing page" takes you to the landing page but without your affiliate ID, so don't copy that one. It's just to get an idea of what the landing page looks like.

If you're seeing a different offer when click on your link then it could be due to the fact that the offer is USA-only (if you're outside the USA), so they redirect you to a different offer. You can check the Maxbounty offer page to see which countries they accept traffic from.

If you want to see the landing page and it's redirecting you to a different one, you can use a US proxy to view it - just search google for US proxy and use a free one.
 
Can anyone tell me how to put the "Plimus" ads? I had earlier asked this question too but no reply.

If it was like others (Clickbank,Adscend or Amazon) I would have done it myself. But Plimus looks different and is a little confusing in the control panel.

Go to Account. You will see a list of products you are approved to sell. Click on one. Here it is different for each one. Some will have a link to their site with banners etc for the affiliates. Save the link to the banner you want to use, just make sure you put your ID in.

Below the list of products you will see the Product types, click on one and it will take you to a page with your links. Here you can choose what type of link you want, Product Info, Trials, Buy Now, etc. (Here you can also see your ID to change the Banner link)
 
This thread is getting very interesting.

Cheers to Crashed for starting something like this. Gurus charge thousands of dollars for stuff which isn't nearly as good as this.

checked google today because i seen referrals coming from there this morning and low and behold i'm on page one at 4th spot for my new sites keyword which has over 250,000 monthly searches :D and might i had i have not done much seo wise apart from a good domain name, a good article on the site related to the keyword, and some youtube vids which only been done the last 2 days, this is my new site btw its only been going 3 days!! i've put a lot of hours into it since i bought the hosting and domain on monday but never expected to get to this position this quick

Still did not figure how to put banners in Plimus I also watched the video they provided but they have not mentioned anything about banners in that.

1) I clicked on the product from My Products

2) A page opens with product information and below that there is a box named contract id

3) After clicking that box a new page opens with general information and links (Buy Now,Product Info,Trial Download Url etc etc

when I click on them they take me to the products landing page.

I am trying to find a page where I can copy paste the html code of the product banner and put it on my site. If someone can answer this it would be great.

Ps: Under Shopping experience there is a buy now template but it is not a banner hence it is getting confusing
 
You actually have to go to the product site to get banners. Most have an affilate page where you can get them. For example this company has an AFFILIATE link at the bottom of their page Can also say WEBMASTERS)

Ive not been using Plimus, just Max bounty and ADsense at the minute as i also struggled trying to find the banners for them.

I have a quick question for anyone....
When I look at my 'Google Webmaster Tools' page under Site Configuration -Crawler Access, it says the following:

Text of mydomainname / robots . txt

User-agent: *
Disallow:

I just wondered if this is right? as when I checked my Google ADSense Site Diagnostics page it said that the last crawl report had been blocked with no reason found?

Ive also noticed that my a lot of my ads are nothing to do with my niche 'football' instead i get things like, nail manicures and shopping lol, am I doing something wrong here??

cheers mate :) i have not made anything yet but the sites only been live since monday i'm very hopeful now with being on google for the keyword, anyway im not sure about robots question but in relation to your ad question the ads can take a bit of time to be relevant to your niche the longer time that passes to more relevant they become, have good keywords in your posts so the adsense media bots can see them and send you relevant ads, maybe because the crawlers ain't getting to crawl your site right your getting silly ads?

A small robots.txt and htmaccess tutorial would be great. I have searched the forums for this but the info is very scarce.

When I search for products to promote I always check to see if they have advertising materials as well.


Question:

My daily tasks are:

Write article and post.
Tweetattacks follow/unfollow.
Tweet.
Update FB.

Am I missing anything else? I only have the first video from Youtube. Should I be making one daily? Then tweet and update FB? I have thought of getting my biggest competitors backlinks and manually submitting to the high PR ones.

How are the rest of you working on your pages?
Also, how can find what your site rank is on google? (Not PR, but position on Google)
 
add more youtube videos thats what ive done, for my page position i just typed in my keyword and looked for my site but mine was easy to find as it was right there, also search this forum for directorys theres a thread by erricson were you can add your site to 2500 directorys free of charge quickly, i did this last night im not sure if it has helped but today my site is page one for my keyword so it may have

Thanks for that. I am going to do a video a day and see if that helps. I will wait a week and then do the directories you suggest. There is also a huge ping list on the forums as well, I will probably try that as well.
 
well this directory site adds your site to over 2500 directorys then pings each page

for the ones that have made some money already, do you get an email stating that you earned XX amount? or would I have to check each affiliate network to see if i have or not?

i really hope to make over $100 so i can actually bring some home to my bank account =P
