FYI - Just received the phone call from MaxBounty and got approved...finally

Yeah I know it does come up under Last Referrers, but what I mean is that - It does not come up under Last Referrers when I post the link to twitter and I get the automatic 10 visitors, so what I am thinking is that they aren't "REAL" visitors because they aren't being referred from anywhere.
That sounds really confusing LOL, not sure if you understand what I mean.
so you post the link then your visitor count goes up 10 without a new entry under Last Referrer?
Sounds odd. What happens if you reinstall the plugin? Would you lose all stats?

Yes that is EXACTLY what happens. I don't know what happens if I reinstall the plugin, I suspect I would likely lose all the stats.
Is anyone else experiencing this also? And have any ideas how to filter out these "fake" visitors?

I have the same "problem". I installed a StatCounter counter on my website and here's the difference between both at the moment :
Statpress -
Visitors: 27
Pageviews : 61
StatCounter -
Visitors : 11
Pageviews : 13
Not sure which one to trust either...
And no clicks whatsoever for the past 2 weeks, and I've been averaging 30 visits per day according to Statpress, and 10 visits according to StatCounter

I don't know anything about the plugins (I use a different one myself), but the difference could be due to the page not loading completely before the user moves to the next one, anti-javascript plugins installed, whether or not it counts a refresh as a new hit etc..
If you check day 7 you will see how crashed set up his auto-tweeting with SocialOomph
we're using free version of socialoomph as suggested by crashed. you can find the instructions on this thread or on his website. the tweets still have to be created but are scheduled so we don't have to go back to twitter every few hours.

I match the Last Hits with the Last reffers by Date/Time and IP.
Ok, just to clear it up, there are bots that monitor twitter feeds, google is one of them so there are spiders that may check your site the minute you tweet.
This is good as it also builds your backlinks off twitter, however if Statpress is counting it then it may artificially inflate your views. In the statspress Options you can simply tick the box "Do not collect spiders visits".
This works for some, however some spiders can not be identified as spiders easily. Turn this on and see if it fixes the problem for you.

guys has anyone been promoting their sites in other ways? crash has laid out the groundwork here for us, we need to take some initiative ourselves i want serious traffic so ive been making videos for youtube and uploading them with link to my site, im going to start really pushing it next week, directories, blog comments etc all done by hand of course not spamming with programs

Wow, this is tedious, I thought that spoonfeed was much easier. I started 3 days ago and I just finished up to day....... four, and many many hours. I still have to study for a school test this Friday. But all in all and I am really tired this is the best instructions I have ever received and my website is taking form, also I can see that my site now, has a past and a future.
