First of all my best wishes for your success. I believe with enough dedication and hard work its very much possible.
But i think that you should reconsider immigrating to Canada. If you looking for a fresh start why not move to new town like Goa

Assuming that you had made 30k(~13lakhs) and make a consistent 4k-5k(~2lakhs), if i were you, i would be in India, i would start my own offline business with that money in Hand.

Reasons:
I believe India is one of the few countries around the world at this point of time in which you have the potential to make tons of cash(if you are wise enough) and to become a great entrepreneur( No offense on other nations). This is just my personal opinion.

Indian Population- ~1.21Billion(121crores)
Youth Population- ~500 Million(50Crores)

Look at the Stats, I hope you can get my point, there are more customers in our nation than in any other part of the world. The buying potential is enormous, if you have one good product and if you can market it properly to just 1% of the youths(5million) with just 1Rupee profit margin you can make 5Million.There are so many products that you sell to youths. Why just them, you can aim for both youths and grown ups which increases your customer counts. India has most no of mobile phone users in the world,every year e-commerce business is increasing by 70%.The possibilities are endless. India is looking for more middle level entrepreneurs and businessmen!!

Europe? Baltic countries? They are much cheaper and much more attractive to live in than Canada.

Downtown toronto will eat your money up for sure

I don't think I'll survive with a $5k monthly budget down there.

I would like to ask you why do you want to go to Canada

a) Trying to get SEO clients by showing them your skills? or
b)Go to some good university in Canada and do IM while pursuing your higher education there?

Assuming you have option a) in mind wo0uldn't it be better if you invest the money and start company in India and promote /market your skills to US?canada clients through PPC or any other methods?
your ROI will be low with this option i guess with rent,taxes and all other stuff costing way more than what it costs in India

If you choose option b) i would think it is a killer idea go to Canada,join good college(far easier for you to compete with those students than class full of indians) and you get clients locally and outsource your services,you get money as well as good education in area of your interest(i guess programming)

so after 2 years u have a good degree,recurring income from clients and more $$$ in hand to invest on your new ideas.Some might say US or Canada is the best place to kick start and make it rich by creating businesses.

subscribed to see how it goes, but like a fellow member said, come to Romania, 5k$/month a more than enough to live for 1 month, you get a nice rent at about 250 EUROS/month and live with the rest.

Edit: If u say u are good with SEO, u could make a small business here offering SEO services, not too much competition in the market and if u are really good and get results u could get alot of clients. Our countru is "still in development" so u have alot of options to choose from.
