Josh's Instagram Journey

Ok, So I have decided to do a journey. By day I am a developer - mainly custom wordpress themes, Landing pages etc etc. I have been lucky enough to work with some really big clients and I have recently decided to start up by myself giving me some more time to do things I want!

Why am I starting one?

I feel like starting this will give me some more encouragement to really hammer down on my instagram knowledge. I also noticed how nice people are when others like me take action and offer invaluable advice! So thanks guys and girls!

Where am I currently with IG?

I already have one account with 15k followers which I have been on and off with but regularly getting back onto it! I have also just started another account using a totally separate device which I had lying around at home and plan to make another account this week. I started this account 5 days ago and had followlikr on it for just under 3 - I am having some good success with this account - already at 1200 followers following 1800 so my follow back rate is great! I have anywhere up to 150 likes on one picture and an average of about 80 - 90.

My aim is to build up a really active page and sell shoutouts at 50k + I have also been using my 15k account to boost my new account

Plan

Carry on using followlikr it's great! I am also going to look into doing some S4S and buying some big shoutouts.

Current Stats

Account 1 - 15k
Account 2 - 1200

Account 1 has been unfollowing from 7k down to 0 so that has not been gaining too much.

Account 2 is currently following and I am getting some great action on it!

Wow this is incredible to start! How are you gaining such good leverage? Mind sharing a little?

What are your followlikr settings?

Scrape users to follow: I'm scraping them from one of the top 3 accounts in the niche I am in.
Scrape photo: I have 8 queries I am targeted, all 'relevant', scrape only top result.
Follow limit: 10-20, daily limit 500-600, delay follow 50-70 seconds, ignore private users.
Unfollowing: unfollow after 1 day, unfollow limit 5-10, daily unfollow limit 500-600, delay 50-70 seconds, blacklist unfollowed users, don't unfollow followers
Like limit: 15-20, daily like limit 800 - 1000, delay like 30-60 seconds.
Comment limit: 2-3, daily comment limit 50-100, delay comment 80-120 seconds, comment on user photo only once, I have 7 spun comments (different)

I have it running 24/7! Gaining only 20-40 followers a day, if that at this moment in time.

Ok... So a few things different. I am in no way suggesting these are the best settings but this is roughly what I would suggest....

1. Separate you following and unfollowing up fully. - Follow all the way up then back down once you have hit your target of 7k. Sometimes it is worth going up to 3k or so for a new account then follow back down just so you don't look spammy.

2. Follow limit - I am following between 600 and 750 a day with a delay of 30 - 40 seconds it usually finishes quite early on in the day but I am still playing around with this but seems to be working so far!

3. I ignore private users too and also only follow people who have posted within 60 days. Again this is something I need to play with.

I am not liking or commenting anywhere! On my main account I was liking 2k a day pics when I had around 5 - 7k followers..

No I am not currently - I am thinking of ways to do so as not many people are going to want paid shouts with only 15k

I plan to buy followliker since it looks like it is the choice of majority for preferred IG software.

Compared to others you are taking the slower but likely safer road.

- Is it possible to set a specific set of settings for several accounts and another group of settings to another specific numerous accounts?
- Is it possible to set followliker to insure a specific user will not be added to more then one account from all your accounts?

Yeah you can set settings for each individual account. I am not sure about setting the same in mass - but you can create projects on there so maybe! There are some really good guides around BHW for followlikr settings!

You can add people to blacklists so they wont get followed yes

Small update:

Just posted a pic on my main account (15K) and got 100 likes within 30 mins which is a great result for my page!!

I would love to dedicate all my time to this - but starting to work from home alone for the first time i need to concentrate on my bread and butter but I am still going to chuck a lot of time towards this.

I hope I can help some people along the way!

Good luck on your journey i'm in the same boat as you, but my account is at 12.7K atm, i'm growing it manually tho since i don't wanna risk it, i've heard of people getting banned for using bots, i've learned about growing my account manually 2 things:

1. Instagram doesn't ban for following people too fast.

when i start following, i follow as fast as i can, i can reach the hour limit in about 40 sec (manually following 120 - 130).

2. The follow back ratio is bigger when you like other people's posts, rather than following.

i've noticed that people tend to like my posts a lot more when i like theirs, when i follow for follow, they do follow me back but most of the times they don't like my posts.

I have also found the same thing with following/unfollowing - always more likely to get a temp ban unfollowing!

Quick update.

Were only half way through the day and since midnight last night my smaller account has gained 350 followers.

My main account is still at 15k as it's still unfollowing.

The small account has 2 pictures which have above 170 likes which is great!!

Account 1 - 15k
Account 2 - 1550 (+350)

Update

Account 1 - still at 15k nearly at 15.1 but today was the last day of unfollowing and I am starting to follow on that account again tomorrow so hopefully it will get some action.

Account 2 - yesterday we hit 1550 and just as I am posting now we have just hit 2000! The page has 220 likes on its most popular picture looking like it's doing really well!

I need to start finding some people to do S4S with to see how that goes!
