Joomla > Wordpress ? Noticed something weird

I don't use wp at my work. I use react based frameworks like next.js. But I can challenge you... if it is about ranking/fast websites, I can do something with wp that you won't be able to beat with anything else. Wp is a security hell, and that's the main reason why I had ditched it a few years back. Joomla in my experience is overly complicated (and yeah, my first project was using joomla 1.5x. I have seen it enough to be able to give you an opinion).

Again, if you really want me to compare those two sites, send me the sites in pm. I will tell you exactly why you saw what you saw. Without the sites, you are just comparing apples with oranges.

Butthurt? Not at all. Just tired of people comment hunting spamming threads to infinity. To be honest, i ve stopped giving two fucks for arrogant developers that have the audacity to openly claim they are the best. Their only goal is to boost their ego, I don't trust these people they are so full of themselves, they can't see beyond and as a result they make mistakes too often, so i won't take it thanks.

I understand, but please also understand that it's not like you re comparing two boosted websites. But please go ahead and tell us, since those websites have 0 backlinks and 0 on page optimization what would you compare exactly? I d like to hear

Since the entire thread is about asserting outlandish claims and refusing to present even a single shred of evidence to illustrate all I can think of is that it must be because Queen Elizabeth II uses Joomla for her fansite and threatened to banish Sundar Pisach to the dungeons if he doesn’t pardon all Joomla Noobs around the world for their noobishness

And just by the off chance you’re playing devils advocate to pick peoples brains to list on-page seo parameters for you, there are dozens of good guides on this site for that already. Look for them. Or at least just ask for them.

I’ve noticed these changes as well. Times are changing.
 
It’s really disheartening when you see people arguing at each other on a thread that’s pure information & some mild testing.

The information at hand, I’ve seen on the forum once or twice over the last six months. Joomla websites with minimal effort outranking Wordpress websites.

Could be a fluke. There’s no way to tell without split testing.

It’s not that the possibility isn’t there, it’s that at least three people so far have said this on one thread alone. But no one is willing to present any such example…
Testing this properly would actually be time consuming and cumbersome. So any case study on the matter may help determine more accurately whether it has anything to do with the CMS itself in anyway shape or form or whether it’s sheer coincidence since Joomla is still pretty big and/or probably more popular in some niche geolocations more than others.
So you can speed up the process to determine whether any further investigation is worth pursuing at all to confirm / present back to other members.

Everything in the IM game is time consuming. Some people actually want to know the answers to questions and others just want people to do the work & answer the question for them.

Regardless, split testing would get the answer.

Joomla website with on-page SEO. Same niche on a new domain vs Wordpress website, same niche on a new domain.

On-page SEO done on each page/article.

I would start with a different methodology if I had anything to work with. But point noted.
 
I have taken what i wanted by posting this thread, which is that others have experienced it also. I know what to do from now on. As @PHPInjected wisely said, smart people will take advantage of this information and test its quality. Let's split test then and post our results.
