Joomla > Wordpress ? Noticed something weird

Well, for the last year i ve been noticing a very weird distinction. Joomlas sites ranking in no time, with minor on page optimzation and almost no backlinks. We all know wordpress is easier with seo but it looks like that's not the case anymore. I ve been seeing these in many different niches especially in tier 2 & 3 countries. It doesn't look like it's a coincidence and i d like to hear a few opinions!

Do you have any examples?
 
i can vouch for this two of my clients complained to me at the start of this year there competition has been outranking them when i checked it was a shit show of a website made with joomla no backlinks no SEO done nothing just simple one page site that outranked my wordpress site it was odd

Yes plenty, i don't want to post them yet, i d just like to hear some opinions or if you guys have noticed the same

Exactly right??!! Same thing happening here and i am like WTF

Nah i don't think so tbh. Joomla one page sites with no backlinks outranking wordpress gems with DA and DR above 60 that were dominating the first page for years? It's not like it has happened once or twice.

it makes you think what if all what we do for SEO is useless ^^ the guy told me why did you charge me for making my website rank when this one website is ranking me tough conversation to have with your client to eventually tell him i dunno know

I can almost say this is a recent and totally undercover-unofficial seo update with the sole purpose of confusing seo specialists around the globe. You will see, the moment people will start noticing this and jumping to joomla again they will make another change tossing joomla sites back to oblivion

I don't think it is that deep tbh but something is going on for sure interseted to see of someone else noticed :)

No I haven’t seen the same and can’t really form an opinion until there’s something tangible to assess. Otherwise it just remains hearsay at best.
 
In wp's defence (not that I like it.. but), not every wp blog is created equal. Some suck, and some are really awesome. Your blog probably isn't that good? It shouldn't matter to the search engine, what backend you are using. The output matters the most.

Have you read the comment section? The websites that were suddenly outranked by joomla trash were dominating the top 3 and top 5 of the first page for at least 2 years. Thousands of dollars have been invested for optimization, development, design, content generation, updates, etc etc etc. I have talked to some colleagues and they ve noticed the same, then i came here. If the output matters the most these websites shouldnt outrank not only my websites but some other also. I appreciate you good intention but don't just come out and say my websites are not good just because you don't have anything else to say

Hearsay? Watching johnny depp's trial too much dude? Another member here just said the same, means it has happened more than once. Junk joomla websites with no backlinks or good on page seo outranking good websites. What else you d like to see actually?

by bad i mean my 11 year old brother can make the same website in less than 10minutes including the installation time absolutely no SEO done to the site! no meta tags no nothing i understand it is all speculations until we show the websites but I'm unable to for privacy reasons hope someone can ^^
