Joomla site issue

I've spent the past hour looking on Google for an answer to this, but I can't find anything on it.

I have a Joomla site (my first experience with Joomla) and when I go to mysite.com/administrator instead of popping up the login page it cycles back to the main mysite.com home page...

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Very odd issue you are having here. Did you do anything with a server configuration file like .htaccess or something else? Have you tried adding a www to the front of the admin URL? I'm assuming you did go through the setup process already when you first installed Joomla?

Perhaps you can find info here to guide you. I would look in the configuration.php file and see if everything as it should be. There is a lot of documentation out there on configuration.php for Joomla.

May be you have added some redirection for login url. Are you using any security component for your site?
