Hi,

I am just wondering how you would go about sorting out the onpage seo of a joomla site.

I mean does joomla have an equivalent of the wordpress 'all in one seo'..

also things like xml sitemaps,

also how do you optimise the url structure...

Have you got any essential recommendations for joomla seo?

I have designed a good few joomla sites. The first tip I'd give you about joomla concerning seo is dont add keywords and meta description within your main configuration panel. You'll find every page has identical keywords then and google sometimes wont index all your pages.

Add your keywords etc using the meta data info panel on the right hand side of your articles individually. Or even better use this:

Lastly remember to change the default settings within your configuration panel so that your websites URL is search engine friendly andyour url contains your important keywords. You may have to rename your htaccess.txt file to .htaccess aswell.

Joomla is great for seo and I find they always rank well within google. Any specific questions let me know and I'll do my best to help you!
