what you mean exactly under frontpage layout is gone? Do you see a totally blank page or a scrambled page with content in it?

    Tiger,

I would investigate more in relation to what skyebug mentioned. I've transferred Joomla sites before both from host to host and from directory to directory and sometimes files get left behind. Its best to make a complete copy to reference against. Check and make sure all the CSS files are present as well as all the theme files. Hopefully the file structure on your old host's server is still intact?

    Hope that helps,

    Shawn

Check your new hosts PHP version. It's very common to experience problems with coding etc if the PHP version is not compatible with your site/template.

It sounds like one or more files got lost during the transfer. Tell me, how did you do the transfer and did you use a component such as Akeeba backup or another extension?

That means your site is missing the css styling.

    dude... why use filezilla?

The best way is to use akeebackup.

The migration will take under a minute with all files intact.

however, if all you have is blank white page, check you php or you .htaccess

Point your domain back to your previous DNS and once it's propagated and the site is fully operational again, install Akeeba Backup. Take a backup of your site through the Akeeba component. You then need to download the backup file to your local computer somewhere such as on your desktop.Use Filezilla for this. The file will be in public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup.
You then need to upload the file to your new server along with the kickstart.php file. The rest of the info is on the Akeeba site but if you need help, PM me, I've done this loads of times. Good luck mate

By the way, if you don't get on with Akeeba then a good alternative is Xcloner which is just as good IMO. They're both free.

thanks a lot guys for helping me.. But there is problem. I dont have the access to old server.
When i downloaded it from filezilla i found that its size is 2.6 GB .
But also our old hosting provider gave us a complete backup DVD which is of 1.59 GB.
When i try to restore site with the backup i downloaded it from filezilla the frontpage shows 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 as said above. But i can login to admin panel.

When i try to restore site with backup of my hosting provider gave to me a blank page comes as frontpage. I also cant login to admin panel. JAuthentication failed. Tried to restore password using mysql, checked if plugin is active or not but no effect.

Depending on how important your site is to you, why don't you re-activate your old account? I don't know who they are but if they have a monthly payment option then you can be in and out in no time.

I would check where does the difference in size come from, is it possible that when you transferred the files with FileZilla, you also transferred files that were not part of your site?

Agreed on Akeeba, I have used that several times, never any issues.

With the version where you can access the admin side, try to activate the server error messages and put them to the highest level, this should enable you to see what errors Joomla encounters when loading the page. Other option to do a similar thing is obviously to use for example Firefox web developer tools to troubleshoot the site.
