Joint bulk buying, anyone interested?

Hey maybe we can get a group of us together and buy some stuff in bulk to get cheaper prices. Would anyone here be interested?

a few years back i was making soap for a couple of minutes and in the process of looking up soap recipes in yahoo groups i came across people running coops
beforehand, small home soap makers would have to buy their supplies full retail because who could afford the bulk wholesale? the host of the coop announced the what was for sale and what the deadline or minimum limit of supplied ordered. collected the amount and ordered the product bulk wholesale, took delivery and split it up and shipped out the smaller orders to whoever participated in the coop. virtually every supply a soap maker used could be acquired this way. this is the way home soap makers had viable home businesses. if you go to yahoo groups and put in coops you will see how coops are done in order to get supplies for hobby and profit.

I dont have any sources right now, but once i find something which looks like it can work in a joint partnership i will post the details on the forum.
