join rate status update

hey guys , I bought a status update from a guy. was on a 410 k fan page ( he had 100 % positive feedback ) . for 2 hrs. Now I made this new page that I thought had some viral potential and only got 50 fans :S . Does this mean that my page is just crap, or do I need to add more content first ( had one post ). I thought ppl liked pages for the titles as well, not necessarily for the content that's on them ...

Or did I get scammed ? I ain't sure cause this is the first time that I bought an update ...

what is your experience on the join rate most of the time ? I was expecting at least 1000 fans ...

1) The number of fans does not really determine how many fans will join your page. It's all about the activity of the page.
2) Of course, your page and it's content control just how many fans will join, you're only paying for 41,000 people to SEE your page.

As mentioned above, the content of your page is definitely key. I would not purchase a status update for a page until I had a certain number fans and quality content posted on the page.

Also, the guy you bought a status update from, the demographics of his fans, the activity on his page, etc. can highly determine how many fans your fan page will receive.
