JOIN ME! Let's use SPAM to fight drugs/suicide

I am all for this. I lost my best friend December 20th, 2012 to a suicide cause he was on drugs at the time. I am a believer that most suicides come from a problem with drugs or alcohol. For me the #1 reason for people to stop themselves from doing something so drastic is a reason. This is where they need help. What is a goal / achievement that we can help them achieve that makes them feel worthy. I have studied quite a bit about topics like this and somewhat have the same feelings.

Cool that you want to make the world a better place, but to help each person, you need to take care of each person individually, you can't just post articles why you shouldn't do drugs, it would cost you a lot of times of skype, live chat etc. because everybody has individual problems...
but luck to you if you'll launch this

Motivation for saving lives
This guy saved around 600-900 children during the WW2.

The world can be a very dark place if you're in a certain mindframe, more so in a career involving the internet, it can be a lonely place at times. As individuals there's not a lot we can do, however we are in a very unique position in that we can spread a message to millions using systems we have developed for spamming for our own online marketing needs.

Let's spread a message worth spreading. I'll be going ahead with this regardless if I can get anyone else on board, October 19th.

My one word answer is "No!"

1. You fail to understand that in some cultures suicide is not only acceptable, but also honorable.

2. While drugs may be anathema to you, to others they are acceptable, and in some case necessary to live life in a somewhat normal manner.

Regarding drugs. I have a shelf full of prescription opiates. My Dr. supplies the prescription at request for a large number of medical reasons which you lack the expertise to gainsay. Occasionally, I will take one of those pain pills, but this is very seldom. As a solution to the opiate problem, I asked my Dr. to prescribe low doses of an anti depressant, Amatriptylin (AKA Elavil). Chronic pain control is an off label use for this drug. It does not alleviate pain, it changes how you view pain. However, at times this fails too. At this point, I smoke a little hash oil. The pain is controlled at that point.

My wife has neuropathy from a combination of stroke and diabetes. She is maxed out on the pain control drugs used for this problem. When it becomes unbearable, she smokes a little hash oil. The pain becomes bearable. Funny thing about that thar hash oil that will drive a person crazy, some of the compounds have been shown via studies you can find on the internet and in Google Scholar to be helpful in diabetes.

3. By asserting your will and view point over that of another, you are playing God. You have enough problems in your life to deal with, you would not be capable of dealing with the problems of another.

4. Euthanasia at the end of life is acceptable in some states for some terminal medical conditions. You would pretend to oppose this and take away the dignity of a terminally ill person to end their life. This could very well result in many years of unbearable pain and the inability of a person to even change their depends.

For these reasons and many more, I could not support you in your endeavor and consider your actions in both regards to be ill advised.
