to make a stand against something who never has and never will hear of me.
If you own Wikipedia or google or a business that will make an economic difference and
gain a great deal of publicity it will be worth it.
Otherwise you'll just look like a twat out for publicity.

Although ox makes a valid point regarding the relative impact of turning off our "small" sites to raise awareness, the fact remains that big money lobbying put the SOPA & PIPA bills on the table. Big money media wants to turn the internet into a personal cable tv network and funnel the internet money pipeline into their own pockets instead of ours. And that goes for the markets outside of the US as well.

Take a 3 minute break to write your congressman and senator to tell them to oppose these bills and all similar legislation. If anyone has something to lose from these bills, it is us!

The wikipedia.org blackout site has an easy lookup tool that will give you links to your reps by entering your zip code. Do it Dammit!!!!
