Job question when it comes to agencies vs freelance

I have outranked sites that probably use white label agency stuff ....CRM, ROI and all these terminlolgies people use to make it sound important. Please dont educate me, I can google this stuff to get the true meaning, it just what i see on job listings.

Can someone explain to me the value of these agencies only hiring people with in house experience?

It has affected me a bit when I reach out to a business looking for a SEO. Freelancers who lack in house agency experience or dont want to work for one have the same ability to manipulate a persons ranking. From being on the SEO reddit forum, it seems like a agenda for a few to make themselves look more prestige while on the back end a obvious money grab to hoard clients with this verbiage.

I think agencies prefer in house experience because it’s easier for them to manage people who already know how their systems work. It’s not always about skill, just about fitting into their process.

It leads me to another question then, what is the lowest task of grunt work one can do at a in house agency for experience part time, freelance or contract to gain this experience not to sound arrogant like I am better than the next person. Sometimes you have to do things your overqualified or etc.. to play the actual game you want in the long run.

Totally get your point. Agencies push the “in house experience” angle but freelancers can achieve the same results. It’s mostly marketing hype to make themselves seem more prestigious.

There is not much benefit in going with an agency as you know already the cost will be higher but the experience is not always the best..... Can be but not always . If you have a large project there is what agencies can manage more effective because of the human resources
