Being a Jr VIP is certainly nothing to brag about, that is ludicrous. However, Jr VIP is not just about selling. I have made far more from being a paid member with what I have learnt and applied, than what it has cost me. Multiple x the cost.
One of the benefits of being a Jr VIP is that you can open a BST, but it is not the only reason to sign up. That is where our attitudes differ.
Given that there are currently 2 levels in BHW for the vast majority of users, I can see where this mindset comes from. Pay and sell. If there was a 3rd level, perhaps it would encourage more sharing, more trust, more quality etc etc.

maybe even for the first few review copies they give away...

Apart from possibly being first in line for beta testing and free reviews....is there anything else I am missing..? it may be I am underutilising my JrVIP status...

If you have to ask, then perhaps you are.
No one is going to spoon feed you, but there are a lot of posts which essentially do that, and all you need to do is apply a tiny twist; many more are literally good to go straight out of the box. Have you read the Jr Vip forums? There has been a few crackers recently.
Not trying to be rude, but you have been a member for 6 years more than me, how you are not seeing and translating the value offered both in the Jr VIP forums as well as the regular forums is beyond me.

Personally, I'd prefer to see 'likes' or something similar added as one of the Jr. VIP criteria.
As things stand today, the only qualification to post a marketplace thread is making 100 posts that don't get caught by the mods. It doesn't matter if these posts are 100 basic questions like 'what is a backlink', 100 times repeating someone else's answer on a week-old thread, 100 times asking for freebies and samples, 100 posts welcoming others, and so on. I won't call out anyone specifically, but there are a few new sellers whose post counts are far below 100 if you exclude the welcome posts and freebie/sample begging.
If someone can bring value through a marketplace thread, they should be able to give enough good advice to earn more than five likes out of three hundred posts. And when someone goes from knowing nothing about SEO to selling SEO services in 60 days, that should be a red flag about the real quality of their services.
Marketplace threads, on the other hand, do have a very direct impact on those who take part in the deal, and in turn an impact on the reputation of BHW itself. And in my opinion, making 100 low-content posts should not be the sole qualification for a staff-approved marketplace thread.

To be fair, anyone can share information regardless of their membership level, and their status in the free/paid/invitation membership groups has no inherent bearing on the information itself or how it affects others. Raising the price won't necessarily raise the quality of the threads, or number of high-quality threads, it'll just mean the fluff threads are posted by regular members instead of Jr. VIPs.

Well, to be honest, I quit BHW for I think 8 years or so... just came back early this year...so you can say I am a newbie+ in an old skin.... at the time I left BHW, the restrictions due to post count (I stopped at 24 post counts then) put me off...and I am sure there are very many more like me, some never coming back. So if you increase the post count requirement, a whole lot of folks may very well quit or just be silent readers if at all.
I have seen posts requesting to reduce the price but the OP is the first asking to increase. Might be he is rich to afford..

I don't see any problem with the post count.
If you're here to learn and share this number will increase naturally in a matter of times.
But if you're here just to leech, yeah it'll be a pain in the ass for you to reach 100 posts.

I think raising yearly cost or post count doesn't matter

I'm in the same situation as you. I am a real user with no intentions to be a spammer or such thing and I feel pretty bad I have to write dumb posts to gain access to certain sections.
