JM on Thin Content

Here I quote from JM "So it's not so much that one page doesn't have enough content. It's more that the website overall is very light on actual information."

My understanding is that for e-comm site, blog section is crucial to add up the overall "content volume", despite the fact that blog can drive some traffic.
