Before the penguin update, I was banking real hard with Clickbank because I was ranking a lot of sites well and I was on aggressive promotion.
Then after the penguin 2.0 update, a few of my sites went down. No biggie because I was still ranking at least.
After a while, my sites just disappeared from the results. Turns out that someone neg-SEOed me. Because there was a sudden huge influx of backlinks. A month later, more sites just disappeared or dropped deep. All my high revenue CB sites disappeared.
I thought it was just my aggressive backlinking campaigns, but turns out that they were all neg SEOed.
So anyway, I was keeping track of my competitor's sites. One of my competitor was ranking first for a particular product for about a few weeks and just today.. it disappeared! Not just one, but several of the top ranking competitor's sites disappeared.
I guess sabotaging/neg SEO is part of the game now. lol.
Of course, I ain't gonna do that. And fuck that~ Thankfully I'm still banking but not as hard anymore. Like softcore porn instead of hardcore porn. Oh well, back to building sites and ranking again. If not, a different approach needs to be thought out.
