OOP and most design patterns are useless.

Better learn data structure so you can easily switch between numerous languages.

Language is not important try focus on grammar.

I think all high volume environment migrate to Golang still Java could work depending on what you are doing but I can't image what.

Design principles are not mandatory and OOP failed many except you their is no misinformation whatsoever papitio.

I don't think you read but that guy have clearly written it's a "small bank" and the review is from 2015 and even if they run msdos - that's just 1 bank in 1 country.

I think you've never been into a bank. There are plenty of large banks out there (atleast in Europe) using MS-DOS. It offers the exact functionality they need, and nothing else.

Their is no misinformation it's how internet works you don't find this kind of information on a blog rather look in paper written 20 years ago.
