    Dear BHs,

as I am touching the limits of wordpress mu in terms of security and performance, I am planning to implement my own java servlet based auto-blogging system and would like to discuss with people having a similar intent.

Goal is to access/provide directly content, pictures, etc from databases and provide a secure and high-performance auto-blog-like system. Actually, I am already convinced that this is less complicated than nasty phping in wpmu for small changes and fighting or fighting on the apache http front. JSP or frameworks do not have the necesarry flexibility as it seems, at least I did not find anything which would meet my requirements:

    Features should be
(certainly database provided and keyphrase driven content, image and video delivery)
IP based cloaking, header "manipulation", redirects
some bean-like-components for simple menus, ad inclusion, youtube inclusion, simple auto-comments
ease of use of existing (wp) css themes with only small modifications (yeah, certainly skipping all that wp(mu) stuff)
    rpc-stuff: pingback,trackback possibly together with apache-nutch

Would be thankful for any advice and discussions and certainly for people who are interested in collaboration.

    Thanks,
    cooooookies
