Jasper announced on their official FB group that they've removed limits on all tiers and now it's unlimited for all plans. Of course there will be FUP.

Looks like they're shitting their pants with a ton of competition in Ai writing space. Wait till they even drop their prices.

Jasper can still be paid if they make the "right" update.

It's not about the articles anymore, it's about upgrading a few prompts

I have the original unlimited boss plan and for those of us that started when the company was Conversion.ai and now they are just letting anyone have it is very disappointing. There is nothing they can do though as chatgpt has really hit them hard.

I don’t like tiered plans I like lifetime plans so yea Jasper will have have to much better than this
Companies that are serious about providing regular updates and improving their product can't offer lifetime plans.
Those that do are never in it for long term. They'll just exit once it becomes unsustainable. Or they'll introduce upsells without which it will become impossible to use their services.
Lifetime plans are a gimmick.

Their prices are too steep at $59 for 50k credits. On average, I need to burn through 5000 credits to write a 1000-word article using their AI writer. At this rate, I can hire a professional human writer.

Lets be honest: Jasper/Jarvis/Conversion.ai were one of the first and probably the best on the market for 1-2 years. But now they are redudant, because people can directly use ChatGPT for free or for $20 per month.

The majority of people who are still subscribed to Jasper are fans of the brands. Some dorks who feel obligated to support the company/brand, while they are completely overpricing their service.

GPT 3.5 became much cheaper than the previous GPT 3. Since Jasper was running on GPT 3 and then got upgraded to GPT 3.5 it made them save tons of money for using the OpenAI API.

Also the Jasper company is a very good example of how you can shoot yourself in knee. They made a company based on GPT 3 / OpenAI, hired a lot of staff, etc. and now their USP became mainstream, everyone knows how to make the same website/SaaS, even OpenAI themselves have ChatGPT. They should have see this coming, earn as much money as possible....but hiring a lot of people and then keep offering the same product....not really smart a good move imo

Many companies are based on the business of giving you the platform for free and they run profitable for years. They have vision and planning for monetization with other methods.

Indeed and those won't be the only ones facing this future. Chegg is feeling the heat from ChatGPT, once plugins become widely available, Chegg will be done.

All this highlights the broader challenges all companies will have as they launch their own AI initiatives to stay relevant during a highly disruptive era.

ChatGPT hit them hard and is because they received a lot of discoverability because of the youtubers, or influencers in general that spam all social media with chatgpt getting a free version and a paid one with more benefits and better AI capabilities let's say with a really good price they overkill the poor jasper.

I think they charged what they did because the market wasn't saturated at that point and they knew the window was going to be short.
