I'm betting Meta finally issued them a cease and desist letter that they just couldn't brush off. If it's still being serviced and updated for existing clients but not being sold publicly, it must've been legal trouble rather than an algo update.

Yep, Mostly it's legal trouble as jarvee is well-known all over the globe and the only thing which could stop it would be Meta itself. And jarvee devs would never give up no matter how difficult the algo got!
