it doesn't work anymore because bot development is hard and Instagram is on God Tier when it comes to anti spam and bot detection. those fucks are just too god damn tight against botters. you're better off making a bot that using mobile screen fingerprint integration or some shit. i think at that point that's the most effective way because sadly IG has something called PHONE VERIFICATION, the bane of everyone's existence

For this purpose it's more than enough to scrape through the embedded browser. Api will give you a lot of verifications and I would only recommend doing that for running an account when you need those filters. Anyways Jarvee implemented scraping through the embedded browser recently. Another good alternative is instaparser.ru that's a russian instagram scraper, working good as well.
