So here we go guys, another journal and another adventure. I will be using Youtube to help me promote offers using content locking and those pay for download sites. I have already bought a domain name to create a landing page where I can host my own content locker and lead capture form but the site itself will be under development for a while. I have found a nice little niche in the under the "Music" category and hopefully I can turn it into some money. I would ideally like to start earning up to a hundred dollars month off this but so long as I break even - it's a learning experience and my first real IM project when it comes to taking action. Hope you all follow along and enjoy, I have come up with some twists to add to my videos to try and spice them up a little while remaining as close as possible within Youtube's rules and guidelines so I don't get banned. I will be starting with very little money and almost no other resources or tools, just knowledge I have picked up from this and other forums.

Day 1

  • Performed some niche research (let's hope I have chosen something decent)
  • Made some YouTube Accounts - approx. 30
  • Got a domain name to host a future landing/squeeze page

Next Steps
  • Make my first two videos to post on YouTube, one of which will contain my new and existing "twist".
  • Upload my file to a downloads site (I have been thinking of using FileIce - any thoughts?)

Good luck with your journey and keep us updated! :)

Sounds good man, best of luck. I too am trying to rank some youtube videos for affiliate commissions and cpa offers. Will be interesting to see how you go. I'll be starting a case study soon too for ranking on youtube so will be cool to stay in touch. Jon.

Good luck on your journey mate.

Day 2 - Dec 27 - 2013
I have been getting organised today, so that the traffic and money making can begin. I have made 2 videos for YouTube today bringing my total video count to 2 which is a solid start. One will be targeting a male demographic and the other is more all purpose but of lower quality (only like 20 seconds). I have also setup my ShareCash account, which I will link to in my videos but for now I will just work on getting more videos up and sending more traffic to them.

Hey bud, good luck to you! I have a quick question for you, if you'd be so kind as to answer back. I know that Google has recently required that you have a Google AdSense account to use their keyword tool, which used to be boss before they hid it from everyone. So how do you do your keyword research? An answer would really help me out. Thanks so much and I will follow your journey!

That's a good question, first off my current keyword is a keyword that I know about from my own personal interests and I know that it's popular so minimal keyword research was needed in this specific case. That doesn't mean I did no keyword research what so ever and when I add more keywords and expand/scale I will definitely need to use keyword research. For this, I have an Adsense/Adwords account so I actually have access to the Google Keyword Tool (the new version is excellent by the way). I also came across some software called Traffic Travis which is like $99 and that's what I'am trying to save up for as it looks like an awesome keyword research tool. Other than that - I don't really know of anything other than various other paid software suites most of which probably don't even work - but feel free to educate me.

I bought the accounts from Fiverr so I don't think I will be tracked by Google although I will try my best to be as discrete as possible.

I'am also sorry that my previous update was so brief, I will try and keep you guys updated over the next few days. Already my videos have received 12 views, so it's a slow but steady start.

Day 3 - 28th December 2013
It's been a horrible day today, with all my purchased YouTube accounts requiring phone activation and then getting banned after that is provided - not fun. I will report back soon.

always interested to read different methods !! Will be checking your thread ! good luck bro !!

That's really sad to know. Now what will be your next step?

Perhaps you could buy phone verified accounts? I think people sell those here somewhere ;)

Thank you for the quick reply. I mixed up keyword research with niche research - I will definitely look into Traffic Travis, and I was unsure if AdWords could be used by the average person (thought maybe you needed to get approved into it, and that might be the case, I haven't done any research yet). Sorry to hear about the setback but there's no reason why you can't get take it as a lesson learned and come back stronger, right? :)

Thanks for all the support guys, the thing was I originally purchase phone verified accounts but the supplier of them was a little dodgy (from Fiverr). Hopefully with some help from some of the members here who offer these services I can get back on track over the next day or so. My goal is to get to where I originally was (with an active account and two video's uploaded) by Sunday December 29, but I will see what happens.

Thanks,
Jack

Update:
I have built up some more YouTube Accounts (from a much better supplier) and will be going for round two. I'am letting my accounts age slightly and really building up each accounts profile on Google+ & YouTube, before I do any serious marketing. I have re-uploaded two videos, so I'am back to where I originally started and will keep you guys posted. Sorry that I haven't been posting some great traffic or earnings results yet and I'am already 3 days into the project, but we all have our ups and downs I guess. I have prepared all my Sharecash files which I will be cloaking using a URL shortener, but I will wait a few days before adding the links to my description just so I know everything looks legitimate in YouTube's eyes and the traffic starts rolling into my videos. I may purchase some HR Views from these forums, but I may not - what do you guys think about doing that? Oh, well - peace out.

Thanks,
Jack

Day 5 - 30th December 2013
Today has been a better day with my new YouTube accounts in full swing. I have been customizing the profiles to make them look really professional and unique to try and avoid any further problems with Google. I have also started a blogger blog to provide a location where users can go to access my downloads rather than directly linking from YouTube to Sharecash site. So far I have been promoting this blogger blog through my Google+ Accounts (connected with my YouTube ones) and have been following relevant people in my niche to try and make connections. The blog has only 1x 840 word article on it at the moment, but I will be writing fresh content on a daily basis and linking to my videos/downloads. I have also embedded some interactive content in my posts such as Google Maps, Images (with appropriate Alt Text) and YouTube videos and ordered some views in order to help rank my videos, so I will see if they have any affect. I have spent around thirty dollars in total, setting this up so far and that is about the limit I want to spend before I see some kind of return - so it's all free stuff from here on in.

Thanks,
Jack

Day 7 - 1st January 2014
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all have a happy and prosperous 2014. Well, I have been driving traffic to you YouTube videos and blogs and have some preliminary results with more to come. Other than that I have been pretty lazy, but now that the traffic is coming I have uploaded my array of links which all lead to my Sharecash downloads one way or another. I'am also looking at expanding into a 2nd niche which may involve greater earnings, so I will keep you posted on that one as well.
