It's been quite a while since I posted something at least semi-useful to this fantastic forum, and thought I would share my insight on a method I have been using this last week to try and earn from Clickbank using the popular Instagram.
The method:
On Day One, First of all I chose a product from Clickbank. I decided on a FIFA 13 Ultimate Team product because of the quite recent release of this game.
Then i created an Instagram account, gave it an appropriate female name and used a picture of a hot chick in a football strip as a profile pic. In the profile description I put "I was totally useless at playing FIFA 13 Ultimate team until I found this great strategy guide. Click below" and then in the profile website link box I put a link to the chosen Clickbank product (for this bit I used a cloaked url from one of my blogs so i could put a unique url like mydomain.com/fifa-13-ultimate-team-guide, but I would use a link shortening service rather than using the actual Clickbank url).
Next thing I did was to take some photos of sexy babes in football kits using the instagram app on my Ipod Touch, how I did this was to open up the image on my laptop and actually took a photo. This worked very effectively and gave a good clear image and was done to make my account look active and I included popular football, fifa 13 and babe tags so they got noticed. I now needed to start following other instagram users so that they would see my photos, interact and view my profile with that nice shiny url link to my Clickbank product. The software tool I used was Instadominate but there are other great tools available that can help with following and unfollowing instagram users.
I used the Instadominate software to scrape 25 pages of instagram users using relevant FIFA 13 tags which gave me a good list of nearly 1000 users, i set the delay of between 7 and 10 seconds with the bot and started following the users. I then monitored the stats on my cloaked link while the instagram bot was following users and I started to actually see people clicking through on the link almost immediately.
I left it all for 24 hours to let the dust settle and let my follower limits on my instagram account return to normal after the hammering I gave it with the bot. I then used the Instadominate bot to scrape my accounts followers from the previous day set the delay to between 7 and 10 seconds and started to unfollow users that were not following me back.
Once this process was done I then again scraped 25 pages of instagram users using relevant FIFA 13 tags and started to slowly follow these users. I continued this same process of following and unfollowing users for the next few days adding a few more pictures each day.
After just 7 days of testing I have actually managed to get quite a few clickthroughs on my cloaked link and more importantly I have scored a couple of sales on Clickbank.
I know this is early days and the returns are quite small but this method could be implemented with any niche, such as dog photos and dog training ebooks, muscly people photos and weight training ebooks or anything else you can think of that has photos you can use to push a clickbank product or any other product.
