Has anyone used ixwebhosting, and if so, do you have any comments on their stability, support, and functionality for autoblogs?

Thanks in advance.

i heard both bad and good things. Also i would recommend a VPS for autoblogging

Regards

Yeah, I've been reading reviews... people either love them or hate them!

I was looking at their unlimited pro package since they offer 15 dedicated/private IP addresses.

If anyone knows of another hosting provider that offers that many IP addresses, or lets you add a dedicated IP for less than most charge ($20-$30), feel free to let me know. I can't remember what thread it was, but someone mentioned being able to add IP addresses to their account for only like $1... that would be great!

I know that even though it says "unlimited" there have to be limits, so has anyone reached these limits (been suspended) for anything?

I'm looking to run WProbot as well as host sites for local companies.

20 to 30? I dont know about that...

knownhost will do it for 2 bucks/ip not to sure

Yeah, most other hosting companies I asked said that a dedicated IP address would cost $20 to $30 a year... this was with companies like Hostgator, JustHost, and Dreamhost.

I'd suggest you go with a dedicated server , not in the u.s but in sweden and eu countries...

I have two accounts with ix for about two years now. Their uptime has been great lately; it was kinda bad last year, but no problems so far this year. The support is quick enough to answer but truly awful at understanding anything that isn't basic.

I don't run autoblogs and have not hit any limits so far with low to medium traffic blogs.

I would love to get a private server, but currently I need a basic starting place to do some tests and basically be a "sandbox server" of sorts. I figured flexible but relatively cheap shared hosting should be fine for that purpose, and they seem to have good upgrade options.

I'm glad to hear you've had better experience with them this year.

I think IX had many bad reviews and now my hosting provider is playboyhost, looks not bad.

I had IXwebhost two times over 3 years and I was very happy although their panel technology is not up to date at all and a bit complicated for my simple neurons.

THe customer service is also impeccable but slightly slow over two to three days sometimes but they obviously are busy

I would only go with Hostgator now
