Yeah, agreed, the system is punishing for writers and results in a lot of them trying to pass through spun content since a lot of it gets rejected anyway.

It's very misleading. As normal writer you see a lot of higher level jobs available, once you get upgraded, you find out that what they've shown are orders from the past week, most of which have been completed already. A bunch of crooks.

Those jobs you see are available, they are special requests assigned to a particular group of writers.

I remember looking into them (as a writer) but their pay rates (even going towards the top of the payscale) were completely insulting, so I never went through with their application/review process... I Did follow through with TextBroker 's application and review process, and even though I would have been able to start as a 4-star writer at (what they seem to think) was a "high" pay rate - frankly, crunching the numbers and taking into account the monotony and completely stale nature of most of the available assignments, and the additional time necessary for research in the event that I am awarded an assignment on a topic I'm unfamiliar with - still MILES away from being worth my time and effort...
May be a great opportunity for some, and I (my skillset) may well have presented a great opportunity for them...But for ME - my time is better spent in other ways, generating a lot more money....
Haven't actually hired anyone from either site though, somewhat curious about the prospect... I'd imagine it's a similar story with those platforms as it is with Fiverr or SEOClerks - Mountains of complete SH** to sift through in order to hopefully find that one precious gem of a freelancer that you better hope you NEVER lose contact with because they would be impossible to replace...

On front page , you can see writers with most assignments done and with best rantings. You can give them special requests.

I had made close to $15,000 on iWriter before quitting to start my own agency. I realized with a little bit of effort I can make twice the amount that Elite writers get paid there. iWriter is not worth it anymore these days, especially after the interface update rolled out. You cant even submit a document without the formatting getting spoiled.

It is a boon for new writers as they can get work without spending anything for promotion of their content writing services. Curious to know, how you made contacts there ?

How can they get promotions? Last I checked, iWriter still required new writers to either start from the bottom (Standard) and make their way up to the top, or pay a fee to apply for a manual review that might get them promoted to Elite and Elite Plus levels.
I did not initiate exchanging of private info initially, but over time I developed trust with some clients there. We exchanged our email, skype ID, etc. and worked just normally, without any third party. And sorry, I've earned $14,022 there (just checked); not $15,000 or close.

That fee for applying is optional. Many are able to climb normally without any fee. When I was started there, there was no option for paid manual review. I was asking if you exchanged contact info by the message system on iwriter ?

Yep yep! Just type flagged words like Skype, Email, etc. as S-k-y-p-e, E-m-a-i-l and it was all good to go

It doesn't matter. The fact is, once I became Premium writer, the 4 rating and above, then all I saw was 3 jobs available from that level. As a serious writer who wants to make regular profit, this is a joke. There are not enough assignments to even spend 5 hours a day writing. The fact is, it is misleading. They show you 100 jobs available while you're level 1 writer, but once you're level two, your choice is out of 3 assignments. Maybe if your goals are to make $5 a day, then the site is fine, but not beyond that.
Surely it isn't the situation where 97 out of 100 jobs are for "specific writers", otherwise the site is for the chosen few and all the other writers have no chance of getting any assignments.

You're right. Even I was disappointed when I leveled up to Elite. Only 2 projects were available, whereas just the previous night it was showing lots of jobs on the board.

That is something kids use. I was expecting something smarter in your case. There are other risk free methods to do this.Haha I thought everyone knew about that trick.
Those are special requests, once you gain the rank, you will not see them available. This is misleading.

Anyway, I think that most copyrighting sites are way too underpaying for writers. I am actually writing a book right now to promote on kindle. I believe it's something where you are more in control of your potential profits, and not some extremely low per 1k words rate.

Why complicate things? There was no such thing as 'gaming the system' involved anyway. Apart from modified texts, I remember passing details through external document files too, and that's pretty much it.
Yep! That's what I used to do. Target was to make $32 every day.

Na bro, it's been a while since I used it. Last time I wrote, it was for a Bangladeshi client who kept asking for more words. I said F it, and quit.
I still keep getting special request notifications from time to time
