I got an email from iwriter saying you could be premium or elite in just 1 day if you pay them $148 and write them 3 articles. Do you guys think this is legit or a scam? I am a very good writer and I know I should get elite but If they are just doing this to collect $148 from everybody, I would be pissed. Usually, you have to write 30 articles for next to nothing and get rated almost all 5 stars to get elite. This seems like a shortcut but its really not that much shorter.

Lets say you pay the $148 and write 3 articles. So far you have written 3 articles and you are down $148. ASSUMING you get elite status, you need to write another 15 articles just to get your money back. In reality, you aren't getting "your money back", you are getting paid for your time. So you have to write 18 articles to be back at square 1 with an Elite account. I almost think it would be easier to write the extra 12 articles for low paying people instead of those 18 you have to write for people who are going to expect a Pulitzer prize winning piece. What do you guys think?

OMG, noooooo. Why fork over that much money just to become elite (or have the possibility of becoming elite)? There are so many other websites you can sign up for. Besides if you have $148 to spend, spend it on YOUR OWN website (buying content, nice wp theme, etc.). Hell, you can make more than $148 in a day writing for a private client. Seems like the owner(s) is desperate for money. Not worth it to me.

Thanks for the tip. What your saying makes sense. I would have to write an extra 15 articles to get that money back. Textbroker seems a lot more legit anyway...I just got my ID approved with them...im also gonna start a website soon and maybe get some BSTs on a few forums.

I got the same email. I think that the person who
benefits from all this is iWriter. They are making money
from clients and now they want to start making money
from the writers as well. It's just like someone asking
you to pay them so that they can give you a
promotion.

30 articles at $2.43 each = $72.90

-$150 to skip ahead + 3 articles at $0 + 27 articles at $8.10 each = $68.70

so it would take you 3+27 articles at elite to recoup your $150 anyway.
also, you have a better chance to get the elite status writing for standard requestors that expect low quality.
you will get the hang of writing there before you start taking jobs for the high paying articles.

there is no reason to pay the $150 at all.

Thanks I just started writing those $2.43 articles instead.

I dont see why it has to be scam. They are already a honest and paying website.

I buy articles from iwriter. I should really say "i used to buy articles from iwriter" as I will not be from now on. As I see it as long as you pay your money you get elite status. Pure greed in my eyes and i wont be using them again

It is pure greed for sure but I doubt the $150 grants you guaranteed elite status. BTW fuck iwriter...buy from me. hehe jk

BTW I just figured out I need at least (18) 5 star reviews and (12) 4 star reviews to get elite status.

I don't like the way iWriter functions. People buying and selling crap. Though things are different if you're dealing with an Elite level writer. In that case, you can expect quality articles.

No way! That is pure, blatant, balls-out greed. Unbelievable.

Ugh I think this site is bullshit anyway. Some fucker just rejected my article and gave me 1 star for "incorrect information". All I said was "In golf your score is known as your par" which is true. In wikipedia the title for wikipedia page that deals with par is "Par (score)". I am going to copyscape it every few days, if this fucker posts my article to his site....well, lets just say its going to be a lot of negative seo and negative reputation management.

Within a few days that article will be used by him. I have gone through this more than once. "Article rejected and reason being poor sentence structure", this is exactly what I got from them and I just couldn't understand where could I raise my voice against the rejection. When it started happening regularly, then I was forced to leave iWrter forever.

Send a ticket to support and if your article was good, they will change the rating. Do not write for requesters who who have less then 50% approval rate or who have just joined and have only 1 or 2 articles in the standard category. To answer your original question, I am an elite writer there and got it by writing 35 articles at standard rate. PAying 147 to iwriter is not worth it as there are not many writing assignments. iwriter is good for people who can find clients who provide regular work to their chosen article writers and use iwriter more as an escrow.

Just go to Textbroker. They will start you at level 3 but if you are a good writer they will bump you up to level 4 in no time. If they start you at level 4 you had better not make any errors or they will bump you down to level 3 post haste. Pay at level 4 isn't fabulous, but you can crank out as many articles a day as you want.

iWriter is a joke. Seriously. Their clients are always scamming writers out of money and iWriter does nothing to prevent it.

Yeah dude i agree 100%. I hear more people making good money about textbroker and all I hear is complaints about iwriter and i can see why. I did get started at a level 3 at iwriter because I stupidly wrote the test article when I was really tired and not into it. I put an "is" instead of an "are" by accident and that probably automatically demoted me to 3 in their eyes. Also my comma placement needs some work. I am studying up on the AP Style (this is what they style they want it in apparently), plus I'm going to buy this thing called "StyleGaurd" which is Microsoft Word addon for $50 that checks your grammar and makes sure it complies with the AP style. If anyone wants to half with me on that, I would be totally up for it. This is the link for StyleGaurd: http://www.apstylebook.com/?do=product&pid=APGSG-917360-1 If it has copy protection (which i doubt), I know some crackers who can likely remove it.

Been with iwriter for a while, will give textbroker a shot.

You can get StyleWriter 3.9 on TPB. I scanned both the keygen and the installer on Virustotal before I installed and both were clean. I don't know about StyleGuard but StyleWriter is pretty good. It also integrates with Word.

These programs will only improve your writing up to a certain point, but they serve as a good safety net from letting careless mistakes through.
