I've made nice movie streaming site. Now what?

Hello All


Well, I am programmer. I want to build something that will made something for a living, so at first I decided to make a search engine, then long story short I turn my search engine site into movie crawler site, then I spent several months to turn that site into movie streaming site.

And now the site is done. You can watch thousand of movie title there. But it has 0 traffic, I don't have any idea how to make this work.

The site is: 1HITMOVIE___COM (Can't post url, newbie here)

Any Idea ?

Hey,

Your site is pretty good. Definitely better than I was expecting. It can be hard for these type of sites to gain momentum, but as long as it's updated regularly, traffic will definitely grow over time.

To start gaining traffic, the first thing you should probably be doing for this type of sites is mass commenting. Get some mass commenting software for blogs and forums and target those that are in anyway related to entertainment/media. Also target movie trailers and movie reviews on youtube and try to get top comment when possible. A lot of this can be done manually or cheaply outsourced as well.

Also please fix problem with #top-bg on background element style, change it to: background-position: center top;
Because on retina display looks lil bit buggy

Because the authorities like to go after people that host or stream current movies. So its best to have whois protection.

I have done better fix, here you go:
element.style {
background: url("YOUR IMG") no-repeat fixed center center / cover transparent;
}

This will be on good on any resolution

also for web kit (chrome and etc) add:
-webkit-background-size: cover;

I like the site, looks good and hope you can get the traffic you need/want.

I'd give you my opinion from a guy who watches movie online alot. It may help you or may not.

When i watch movies online, i already know which movie im about to watch (more than likely) so im instantly looking for that site (if it aint on the one i usually visit) has the movie embedded, and is accessible within 1-2 clicks and has great quality.

I'm not a fan of clicking a movie, and then seeing 10 different links where the movie is placed and finding out the first 3 links do not work. It's hard for more to explain, but albert einstein once said, "Make things as simple as possible, but not simpler."

Check this site out noobroom.com, its extremely simple layout, has a basic list of movies, it only has one mirror for the movie but that mirror is awesome quality and is not deleted. I think people want more sites similar to this.

But hey, thats just an opinion on a guy who watches alot of movies online, not a guy who has experience in making these movie sites. I know i would've prob closed your site to open the site i normally go on just because i seen the streaming links page when i clicked on the movie. Half of these streams will prob delete the video etc so you will have to maintain super hard to keep the top movies up.

I would 1st cover my ass, so that you don't get in trouble for having movies being streamed off your site. Then I would promote like hell. Anywhere you can post your link and tell people about your site DO IT! Then start working on on-page SEO and off page SEO. If you have the money I would buy an SEO service if your lazy and have money to spend
