So I made my biggest sale ever in my life last week with $3k in total value by selling my websites. I thought using sedo or escrow will take a long time so I agreed with the buyer to use paypal.

I decided to withdraw some money to my bank for offline use and suddenly receive email from paypal that my account is limited due to "suspicious activities". After three days providing them the proofs they need, my account is limited and the fund will be release in 180 days.

Well, that's really a bad news because I have the plan to re-invest with that money and now I have to delay my plan.

It sucks, to be honest but it's not the end of the world. I built the sites and get that money after six months and I think I can get the more with less time, around 4 months (creating content and SEO).

My lesson after this incident is to withdraw the money to my bank account first and then charge to my cc. After that, I can use paypal to pay online. I will never store the cash in paypal account.

Thanks for reading guys, I feel a lot better now

You should of went with escrow.com. It would have been only a few days till payout.

I wish I did this :D. But what happened, happened. I lost $3k now but it's a valuable lesson. What if this matter didn't happen this time but when I make $30k deal in the future?

I will use escow.com then. I tried to contact sedo first but they took very long to reply.

I know how this feels :(

Same happened to me today :(
I've sold 2 websites and got payment via paypal. Next day paypal limited my account and cancelled withdrawal to my bank account.. F*uck :/

@*****crx,

Thanks for sharing your story. Personally, I think it was a test. Hard time will lie ahead but don't give up.

Damn, You live you learn right,

keep moving forward,

Best of luck

Thats why i never use Paypal unless absolutely necessary, they are a nightmare and should not be allowed to get away with some of the things they can do to hold on to your money.

NEVER keep your money in paypal unless it's a small amount. They will screw you in a heartbeat.

lol welcome to the club buddy. paypal sucks, everybody knows that.
I heard about this before but this is the first time experience it. Sucks is not strong enough to express my feeling :D

use plimus it accept paypal donot keep money in paypal withdraw it as soon as you get it
I think the problem happened when I tried to withdraw. They asked for a lot of documents.

Yeah, lesson learned

cbnoob,

Contact paypal executive staff, if your account was in good standing, you can get the 180 day limit changed to 2 months, so your wait is not as long. Google paypal executive staff email and then email them asking them to review your account and to get rid of the 180 day limit. They usually will, hope it helps.

Thanks

It's like dust in the eyes. In 6 months they put these money to work for them, is very clear that's interest. I'm not gay, but fuck gaypal.

Hi Growth, I really appreciate your help. I will surely use your tip.

I think so. They said they are afraid of the buyer charge back but the buyer has sent them the email confirm the deal. Well, what can I do? It was their game and they control the rules.

Hi cbnoob

Is this a verified business account or a personal account or a verified personal?

Please I'd like to know as I don't want to fall in paypal's limitation trap?

Does anyone know what causes this, is it your location?
