I’ve got a few TikTok accounts, and I’m not the only one managing the pages. The pages are about psychology, and lately some of our videos have been getting decent views.
But here’s the weird part when I post from my device, views are totally normal. But when my teammate posts the same kind of content from their device, the views drop significantly.
At first, I wasn’t sure if it was a device issue, so I kept scheduling posts like usual, same account, just different devices from the team. But every single time it’s posted from their device, views tank.
I really don’t get it. Could it actually be the device? That just seems odd.

Could be flagged, but it also may be since his IP is in a whole other region or country.
I feel like TikTok may capture a lot of device as well as network information, so changing that around may be at expense of your views on the video's you've uploaded.
 
Is he using a PC or a phone to publish? If his device is a pc, it can be troublesome for TikTok
 
TikTok can be weirdly sensitive to the device or even the IP address used to post. If your teammate’s phone has a different posting history, location, or app behavior, it might be triggering something in the algorithm that limits reach. It’s not officially confirmed, but a lot of creators have noticed similar patterns, so it could be worth testing with a clean install or even switching devices just to see if it makes a difference.

Yes, it’s possible TikTok is reacting to the device environment. If the app was freshly installed, the IP changed, or the device fingerprint isn’t consistent, it can trigger lower reach. TikTok sometimes limits exposure if the post comes from a setup that looks untrustworthy. Try posting from a clean environment with a stable fingerprint and ideally a mobile proxy, which helps simulate real user behavior on a mobile network. That often restores organic reach.

Absolutely, it can be the device or IP influencing TikTok’s algorithm—sometimes devices with a flagged history or different locations get less reach. Also, posting methods native app vs. scheduling tools can impact views. I’d recommend testing posts from that device on a fresh account to isolate the issue.

The device ID may be flagged. TikTok tracks device ID and it may just be that your partners device is flagged. In that case, just have him reset the phone and relog in and that should be fine.
