I've got 30 days off... what do you recomend doing?

I'm recovering from a meniscus-repair surgery, so I'm home all day. The doctor has given me 30 days off from my day-job.

I'm new to IM but definitely not new to the Internet. I designed my first website in 1997 so HTML is a piece of cake for me, I'm very competent at most of Adobe's software (Photo/ill, Flash, Dreamweaver, Premier, Indesign) as well as a lot of other design software. I can also write PHP, SQl, a bit of Javascript.... never used WP but I know some other CMS systems. I've even written a basic one myself when I was learning PHP.

So basically, I have all the technical expertise but I have no idea on how to monetize this, how to approach IM. I've been aware of the existence of IM (even in the pro DSL era) but I've always considered it to be "a waste of time". However, being in this forum the past weeks I've read of the member's approaches,achievements and ideas and I've been amazed with the potential of IM.

It kind of reminds me when I started learning how to Grow ****************s when I was in college. I read daily for about six months, my first 2 tries were not very successful but after the third one I could match the best growers' results.

Now I'm interested in going into IM, I don't mind reading, in fact I usually over-read or over-research subjects.... How do you recommend I approach this new "venture", there's just so much stuff to do. Knowing my skills, where should I start from???

I'm not asking for TEKs or to be spoon-fed, just some recommendations on which road I should follow.

Well, I'd recommend applying your website designing skills to offline work, promote it to businesses - as you'll in most cases make a lot more offline with 1-2 projects than 5-6 online projects; and will face less hassles.

I'm guessing you're on crutches so how you get in contact with businesses is up to you, perhaps you could arrange for them to come over to lunch at your place - or you can have a personal assistant meet with them.

Just an idea, I'm in a bit of a rush so sorry I couldn't be a little more detailed, best of luck with your recovery.

I'd say go for freelance stuff if you want to see some income in these 30 days. Offer design services online on freelance sites or here at BHW. You could also do offline services as suggested above but since you're sticking to your house the next 30 days, this may not be applicable.

If on the other hand you want something long term and would have time to maintain it after the 30 days, you can setup adsense niche sites, youtube cpa campaigns, article marketing with clickbank...etc

I actually want to take advantage of the 30 day period and learn/do as much as possible. I'm not really interested in making a quick buck.

I would recommend getting into CPA and using your site building skills to put together some LP's for your offers. It's extremely lucrative and long term when done whitehat.

What's an LP? Landing page?

But seriously, there are a hundred things you can do. CPA LP's are a good way to spend some time. Or DL some eBooks and implement the methods.
