Okay so it's been a while since I last had my share of IM income, 2010 I think I sold my last site to be more precise.

3 years gone by and I'm considering giving it another go. Another mindset, many more possibilities.

Let's recap, what I was doing back then was cultivating sites with dug up keywords, unpacking websites SEO ready, just adding bought content and lastly shoving link structures up and down with the help of tools and services, which is the fun part. Lastly I'd sell these ranked sites on forums and auction them showing traffic stats and proof of income to sell them.

Then I quit.

This month I came back to the forum and saw the same brilliant people from back then, only they're more brilliant, and some of the new guys are totally excentric... I sense the forum has evolved and the game as well. BHW still has its problems. As the members count grew so did the trash, but this is still the coolest place. Srsly you hang among legends in here.

So, any insights? Why does google name their updates after stupid animals like penguins or pandas. They should be more like sharks or eagles or pigs.

What changed? What kind of sites sell nowadays?

Have a great one.

Compared with 3 years ago it was a lot easier to sell websites. Buyers are a lot more skeptical now. Google algo changed big time - you have to add social to your site now and wear a special number on your forehead in order to rank. Just read book of revelations to catch up on everything.

Don't know what encouraged them to name it Penguin, but Panda update was named after "Navneet Panda"....an Indian guy who prepared the algorithm of Panda Update.

If you are hard worker as you was in past then nothing is difficult. Create a social media website and sell it once it gets a good ranking and a passive income.

Welcome back! :-)

It's hard getting back into IM after being away so long, been there. Just keep checking the forum and keep yourself updated.

Why did you give up in the first place? I guess It's safe to assume you were not happy with the return you were getting on time and money invested. And what brought you back here?

I guess Im hasn't changed much since. Of course, all the little details may have changed but the main blueprint for success remains the same. First you need a good idea, then follow it with an extensive research. Now you put a lot of hard work into it, exercise some Buddha like patience and hope for some luck too...

harro is gone of here now, so definately forum has more sense and less yadda yadda now.
