100% to the point where it stresses me out if I use any application that stores any data locally lol

I never liked iTunes. On Windows i always considered it the necessary evil, if you had iPods for instance, which i did and still do. It's a resource hog. Something like foobar2000 is much more lightweight and more user-friendly too with plenty of customization settings, so you can listen to your music via an application customized fully to your liking.
