We've been doing it for about 2 years, at one stage scaled pretty aggressively where we spent over 100k/month on FB ads (making most of the profit on the back-end with email marketing via Klaviyo). However, we still feel like we're just touching the surface of the e-comm game and I'm sure there's a lot of good advice we could learn from others.

Nonetheless, I'll start with my best tips as to whats help us grow a 6 figure business quite rapidly:

1. Research your product and market well
What are your competitors selling? How much are they selling their products for? Do they have a presence in your country / location?

Check Google Trends. See when interest in your product spikes / peaks. Plan to launch your brand during this time.

You also need a hook, a compelling selling point to entice new customers. Our first brand started with free + shipping, our second...well I can't tell you that just yet ;)

2. Growth hack IG - IG is king and is needed for social proof when building a brand.
- Buy an account with content and followers relevant to the brand you wish to start
- Re-brand it, carefully plan your feed ahead with content that's popular to your target market (see competitor's feeds)
- Buy powerlikes so your content will be seen
- Send your products to free affiliates and / or paid influencers depending on your budget (this is completly trial and error, some won't make you money - some will give you a great return).
- Follow up and build relationships with your affiliates/influencers - eventually you will outsource this job to VAs

3. Invest in good video content & do not overspend on agencies/freelancers
You will be generating most of your traffic from FB. Make sure you have a compelling Ad. If you aren't confident, outsource ad management for a month or two and you can try and take over after this. This has definitely been key for us, but we've overspent a tonne of creating content and also outsourcing to freelancers.

4. Invest in good email marketing once you have a customer base.
Klaviyo (imo) is key if you are running a big brand online. Potentially hire an email marketing team to create and optimize your flows, this would only be necessary for 1-2 months until you can take over yourself. Alternatively save yourself some $$ and learn it all yourself.

5. Hire VAs for customer service ASAP. Move to a fulfillment center ASAP.
Master skills and then teach your VAs how to do them.
You can only dropship for so long. If you want to build a successful brand, customer service is key and shipping times are a huge part of that.

Things that we've struggled with:
1. Creating a high converting FB chat bot to generate sales / traffic
2. SEO
3. Google Ads

Any other tips appreciated.
