ITT: AdBlocker Club

Haha! No! I'm not going to disable my ad blocker... Sorry! In fact, because of the nag I block even more at the firewall level.

I paid for a JRVIP and right before my renewal, which I was going to renew, they started that nonsense with the adblocker nagger. That alone was enough to dissuade me from renewing, and whoever made that decision should probably be fired because it is both pathetic and obnoxious.

BHW does have resources that are worthy of a subscription and I was fine with paying for JrVIP, but the value of this place is solely because of the people who post here and not because of the people who operate the website. Seems like the greedy operators forgot this fact and long-term the greed is likely going to cost them, possibly causing BHW to become just another footnote like the once-popular wickedfire.

Dude you misunderstand why that adblocker warning is up in the first place.

You have no idea how many support tickets we get from people complaining about links on the forum not working or images not loading because they're using an adblocker. Hell man we've even got a thread that was posted today where the solution was.. you guessed it, turning off the adblocker.

You are of course free to do what you want and think what you want, just don't jump to the conclusion that the decision was made out of greed.
