The level of idiocy posted on this forum following a Google update is mind-numbing.

Spend some time on some Russian SEO forums and you will see that it is not just SAPE that was effected by this recent update. It was Miralinks, SEOPult, GGL, WebEffector, etc (and all those other "top secret" paid Russian networks lolz).

This is actually good news believe it or not. It means that Google has figured out a way to footprint this type of link and devalue them/the sites that they are coming from. Sape will be quick to adapt to change up the way links are displayed and change their footprint.

There are a couple things to figure out going forward....

Is this an online filter that is going to be constantly running? Or is this an offline filter that will be ran periodically.

Contextual foreign paid link networks should be exempt from this considering the masses are utilizing
the standard footer/sidebar options.

Surely people expected the SAPE train to run out some time? High risk//high reward, it is the way it goes.
 
It's about time everyone jumped on the "secret" Chinese link networks, lulz.
 
Yeah the same "secret" Chinese networks that I and thousands of other SEOs in pharma have been crushing it with for years ;)

Much more difficult barrier of entry.

When you say effected, you mean the majority of the domains in SAPE were de-indexed?
 
u are wrong. its because of ghost rank that used them. they used to scrape what they are using and blocked those but they did not find footprint as it simply doesnt exist.
 
I always LOL when people are surprised that Google busted them for using a "secret" network that everybody knows about. :rolleyes:

If you're gonna use these networks go in with the mentality that eventually you're gonna get burned.

I agree with this. Private "secret" networks will always get busted by google over time.

I would assume the only way to do this is to actually run your own network and never sell to outside buyers.
 
I've even seen some BST's for high quality guest posts, but they are on privately owned blogs. Even that worries me because while it's a high quality service, it's still a private network.
 
It does not matter anymore in the SEO world whether you use "White Hat"/"Black Hat", "Secret Networks" or anything that will boost rankings, Google is going to de-rank you no matter what. To think that rankings are going to last forever is living in a fantasy world. 1.) Their system is designed to have rankings fluctuate because they want true IM companies to resort to AdSense/PPC where they make all their money 2.) They are constantly tweeking their alogrithims since it is evident in the fact that when they do have a shake up their are a lot of irrelevant search results that do not make sense. My take is this enjoy Google results while they last because nothing last forever!!
 
Sape is dead guys. SEO is dead. Just everyone give up on all of your sites already. Google rules the world.

I mean it works but its had a target on its back for quite some time now matt cutts had been hinting at looking at the network over 6 months ago.

there are many "underground" link networks out there that arent being promoted or talked about by everyone that do pass value and do kick ass. those are the ones that people should be using.

atleast thats what ive done and i dont worry about google coming and crushing my rankings because they deindexed a huge network or style of links.

This makes no sense to me whatsoever.. Isn't that the exact problem? These "underground" link networks suddenly gain attention when people get hit using the more heavily promoted ones, then the underground ones rise to the surface and they go down too? Why not just use blog networks knowing they are going to get hit and de-indexed at some point? Either use them as tier2 links or use them on churn and burn sites?
