I know everyone is against selling repli items, and for obvious reasons. Now I have heard most people have issues selling repli when dropshipping. Using default photos or the photos supplied by the dropshippers is a no no as ebay keeps a keen eye out on this. I also know that in the description you will almost always have issues if you state that it is the actual branded product, for example if I am selling a repli iLuv dock and in the description for brand name I put iLuv thats a big no no and ebay will get you.
The reason I am even posting this thread is becuase I have been having good luck I guess you could say selling a certain repli. My ebay account is old, verified, has 50+ 100% positive feedback, verified paypal etc so that may be helping me avoid the ebay eye. My method is not to dropship. I have been purchasing the products, recieving them, taking my own photos with a business card in the photo to clearly see my Ebay ID. I also put in the details/brand as unbranded/generic. I have had great feedback since I have the ability to get my buyers products super fast and at a great quality. I tested the product for 2 monthes myself before I even started selling them and I cant tell the differance between my item and the real deal.
I have been buying 15-20 units at a time and selling them out within 3 days of listing netting me about 200-250 in profits each time. Only looking to make 1000 or so each month for play money, possibly keeping me under the radar.
It is quite possible that I will get bagged for this and I am only getting lucky up until now, however! I found my item being sold by about 3 chinese sellers advertising the same way I am, and they are selling the same repli item. They have over 50000 feedback and have clearly been doing this for a long time without ebay knocking them down.
I know repli items are hated by everyone, but if you can actually get a decent product and list it correctly I think it is possible to turn a profit.
