    Hello everybody.

I own niche websites network. I have like 100 sites already, all sites are EMD (exact match domain). After google released their new rules about "overoptimized sites" my sites began falling at ranking position. I began building new backlinks, add new content...everything were useless. After that I tried delete Google Analytics from all my sites and change title (like [product name] + review), and left site for 1 week. After a week all my sites ranking again and bring me good revenue (I get all money from adsense). May be a coincidence, I'll never know. BUT I WILL NEVER USE GOOGLE ANALYTICS AGAIN.

Just removed GA from one small site of mine that went from P1 #4 to #46, changing around meta keywords and updating content and will see if rankings return to normal. Thanks for the heads up.

I have read several claims not to use the G ANALytics. The simple theory behind not using it is, while big brother may be baby sitting, do you really want to willingly put a 24/7 nanny cam on yourself so he can watch? Especially if you don't know exactly what his rules are, he could come in and slap you at any time for getting out of line. So I removed the GA code from all my sites many months ago and have not used them since.

I have used free sources such as Piwik, which is awesome, but it was slowing down one of my sites. And its a bit of a pain to set up, but well worth it for a lot of people. Tracks everything real time, downloadable results for analysis.

Newstatpress for simple real time tracking, not too sure how accurate some of it is, but you get a good idea of what is going on. Its free and its a plugin.

Getclicky, free service so far is like Piwik, only web based, real time, tracks everything. However, you must pay for multiple sites and additional features.

I will most likely go with the Getclicky in the end and pay for it.

That's my 1.5 cents on the matter.

I've heard the same about big brother G & its spy satellite called Goo Analytics.

Have used GetClicky for quite awhile, but always on look out for other good tools.
