It all started when watching this thread:
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-do-people-even-find-expired-domains.1083737/

The OP is asking how he can solve a problem HIMSELF and I found I could say something about it from a MINDSET point of view.

Mainly, what I want to point out is that the usual mindset in this forum is the "DO ALL YOURSELF".
But this not going to build you a BUSINESS.
When you are doing business you think about who you are going to HIRE to do each task, not about how you can do it on your own.
Aim for long lasting projects. Offer services as a business would. Just be assured that the team of services you are relying on are to be trusted and... VOILA: you are in business.

In this case, if you need a domain, ask someone else who is and will always be more skilled than you to do the task and pay what it's worth.
If you need a website, do the same.
If you need to create content, do the same.
If you need to admin the website to keep it live and going, hire a VA.
If you need a programmer to add a special feature, do the same.
Whatever is that that you need, keep on going and do the same, that's the BUSINESS MINDSET.
Gathering a reliable list of service providers is FREE. Here on the forum you may have all you need to perform as a professional business, all you need is to change the MINDSET.

Here you'll go on thinking that there's still the problem on finding your prospects and do the sale.
Well, there are different ways to advertise yourself, paid or free, and you wont have a problem to find out which.
But first of, you'll need to have a professional website displaying the range of your services. The broader the better.
Opportunities will show up if the perceptual image your business projects the trust your story tales.
Just behave in a PROFESSIONAL fashion and put at use the knowledge you have already gathered on this forum.

I am almost knew at this forum but I would guess that people may have come and do this exact same process all the time.
If you add up all the services provided in this and other available tasks for hire websites, you'll have enough on your plate to feed you from now to forever. IT'S JUST A MINDSET.

At least for me, I prefer to DIRECT a large project than doing all by myself, whether I am also skilled doing a wide range of required tasks myself. I just became bored of it. Now I enjoy doing a plan for this large projects. Thinking of it from start. Its name, its logo, the branding part, the sections of the website and the bells and whistles (functionality) it should have. The sales, the payment processing, the product stock administration, the product display, the social media presence and the list just goes on.

So the INGREDIENTS boils down to this:
Knowledge - Know what you are doing and who is going to do it for you.
Confidence - To acquire this, Knowledge stands as the foundations. If you can offer a service that would be professionally delivered to your clients by OTHER peoples more skilled than you, there are no excuses, just GO for it.
Strategy - All your projects should be rationally supported. The whys come before the whos before all starts over.
The Strategy plays a big role as it will be the guidance of the whole process. You do this well supported and ask for the required budget, and the rest will follow once approved.
Administration - I don't have a business name, I sell myself as myself and clients know from start that I am the guy who delivers the BIG PICTURE of the project and the needed tasks are going to be performed and delivered in a professional fashion.
Administration doesn't stops there. Register as a contributor, pay your taxes, follow a schedule, keep the clients updated. Be prepared to present budgets in a formal fashion with a formal wording as any business would do. Use your Professional MINDSET.

You wont miss the bread and butter of everyday life if you just follow.

Have questions? Just ask.

If I could find someone to do my day to day tasks as well as myself I would outsource but it is fucking hard when you are a fucking wizard son!

I have outsourced a number of my tasks previously and have often found that I spend as much time explaining what I want that I would have spent just doing the task. But when you get someone else to do it you are stuck on their timeline which seems much slower than my own and on top of that you are dealing with their standards which rarely seem as high as my own.

If I managerial / teaching skills were as good as I would like then maybe I could work in some staff / outsourcers but I have been burnt a few too many times that I have given up on that side of things for now. I would be more likely to just sell up than try to run a number of staff.

I have felt the pain of this exact thing.

I'll use your displayed link as an example.
When I say provide a service it means that either you become the expert an focus only in that skill or you hire someone more skilled that does the task for you.
Would I pay to use DomainHunterGatherer? Of course not!
I am not going to focus my life on this and I don'th require the use of this domains but in an eventual fashion.
There is no reason for me to LEARN to DO IT MYSELF.
If a client needs some, I'll buy them from a trusted seller and charge the fees to the client including the fees for my knowledge.

Now lets move to a different scenario.
A website may require of some tasks to be programmed and as it is the case, I lack the knowledge to do the programming myself.
Does that means that I should go and learn c# programming. Hell no, and I woudn't want to learn it either.
But that wouldn't stop me from going on with the project. There are long enough places I can find and hire top quality programmers and pay WHAT IT IS WORTH.

I don't even understand what's the point you are trying to make.
The only proven way to build a business is leveraging other people skills.
So as stated, the whole problem remains as a MINDSET, nothing else.

Ok calm down there matey.

I understand for a lot of people the best way forward would be to pay someone more able than yourself for the jobs you are incapable of performing. What I am saying is that other people aren't always the best way forward.

For example:
I used to design websites for a business, it is something that I am capable of but it does not interest me and there are lots of people out there better than myself. This is something that could be outsourced so in the past I have contracted a few different designers / companies, I spent many hours explaining exactly what I wanted only to then spend further time explaining every fucking tiny detail what it is that I wanted. Once the website design is finished I still need to customise it to fit into my program's systems and also add content. All of this is more time costly than just downloading a template and customising that.

I have also contracted out a bunch of content and ended up spending lots of time on extensive re-writes to the point where I would have been better off just writing the thing myself.

For my workflow I find few instances (visual design work such as logos and banners being an exception) where outsourcing is as effective as just doing the work myself.

Now before you get upset with a different viewpoint to yours I will concede that if I were in touch with more "reputable" companies that I could spend the time overseeing then I may well be more time efficient contracting jobs out to others but who on this forum is going to spend thousands on a website design when a template and a few hours of their own elbow grease will create something just as functional? Nobody, that's who.

Calm down what?
I am not going to make an argument with someone who contradicts the principles of Capitalism.
Period.
If you want to make yourself a Business there is no other way.
Period.
It's just a MINDSET.

You don't fancy this mindset? No problem, you are free to chose the do-it-yourself.
You may learn to fix the roof of your house but that wont make you a building company.

.

Most businesses are started by a single person or two people. They don't go around hiring people to do things at the beginning.
The project is your baby and the foundation is really important.

Yes, when you grow and the foundation is laid you can go and hire people or outsource certain tasks to grow. It's inevitable in later stages, but for most tasks/start-ups it's just a budget problem/reason when starting out.

“OUTSOURCE” to put it plain and simple

The only problem is not everyone have the capital

Wrong. All you need is to change your MINDSET.
As already stated you don't need a big budget to start our kind of business.
The budget comes from the clients and they pay you to do a professional job.
That's it.
Whether you believe or not that you can handle it is just a matter of MINDSET.

I'm not trying to argue, I am giving a different perspective but I guess your MINDSET is unable to see that other people may have a different opinion.

I would say I do alright online and off, I probably have a better business than a majority of people on here.

Either way I couldn't give a toss if you do everything in your business or outsource the lot. Best of luck to ya fella.

Why are you charging fees for your "knowledge" after having admitted to your lack of knowledge and unwillingness to learn and acquire said knowledge?
