i have escaped penguin, but my site is still under panda 3.3...that update was the killer for my site...

i am glad i am out of penguin, as i can still make money without being under penguin, but i was making a fortune without panda 3.3...

i don't think i will ever get back to pre panda3.3, but i can always dream...

What's the point of predicting these updates? It's only a waste of time.

I was waiting for this too. I thought it would be on the 25th and was expecting quite a few posts on the forum but there weren't too many. No changes to any of my sites which is good. Yesterday there were quite a few thread on people saying their sites have tanked, please help etc. so perhaps there was an update. I would have expected to hear more though

im immune to whatever SHITLOAD of Google Updates because i have zero traffic from Google. All my traffic comes from BING and YAHOO. Fuck you google :D:D:D

Has anyone noticed the Unatural links penalty message disappeared from the webmaster tools? It's almost 3 months+ since I received the penalty. I added back my 2 sites again and it isn't displaying any errors/messages about my site. But, about the ranking some are in the 50+. It used to be somewhere around 300+ few weeks back. Before the penalty, my main keyword was in No 1 and secondary keywords were in top 10.

I use some tools to analyze some of the anchor texts, etc and realized the drop in ranking is due to many of the private networks being deindexed. I used private blog submission in the past and this could be why since most of the sites doesn't provide any more link juice to our site.

This doesn't sound like Penguin to me. Penguin is an algorithmic penalty, not a manual penalty so you won't get a link warning. One of the easiest ways of telling is knowing the date that your site tanked (was it 24-25 April or 24-25 May?) If not then it wasn't Penguin.

I'm absolutely loving this latest update. My money site is creeping back up to where it used to be, and is just one spot away from being #1. It's a relatively easy niche but it got booted from #1 a while back and I'm watching it creep back up...slowly.

Penguin updates help me. It's the Panda updates that set me back.

By this point, it is becoming more clear what the Penguin updates "expect" from webmasters so it is a bit easier to avoid droppings in rank.

That being said, no one is ever fully safe from any algorithmic change.

I am curious what penguine updates are about. I think every update is a small piece of something bigger than only one penguin and the final impact on websites rankings will be totally different than today.
But hey a lot of sites will be kicked out of SERP but I hope only spammy sites with 0 informative values

My site was unaffected by Panda and Penguin 1.0. But on the 26th of May Penguin 1.1 hit my site.
I was working on Amazon Affiliates the day before the refresh and I wanted to see if the link
at the bottom of the aStore helped with my SERPS....

I made a school-boy error, I selected hundreds of products, maybe thousands and they all
linked back to my money page with my main 'keyword'. It was only the next day I realised, so I
checked Google and noticed that my site had dropped from #10 to #400 overnight (In a fairly competitive market).

The site didn't have any unnatural linking patterns at all before this. I'm 100% convinced
Penguin Hit me because of these links. Before the Amazon links I only had maybe 150 unique links, spread
between 3 keywords, my URL and Generic words, I was in #10 for 6months.

The Penguin Algo must have picked up a signal that my Keywords had maybe gone from 27% (keyword)
to 85% over night. And Boom, I'm gone.

I guess it's just a waiting game now then?
