That happens to me, too, except I do not modify anything or have a link anywhere in the video. It happens sometimes, this also happens for my best performing vids, 80% of the traffic is from search, after the second day it disappears.

Comment links doesn't effect your video rankings, it was just coincidence. It would derank anyway.

From what I have seen, more than relying on rank focus on being a suggested video. There's where the real traffic is. Unless your main goal is actually ranking in the search results. Another thing I have noticed is that as soon as you publish a video, youtube will send some test traffic in order to decide if your video is well accepted, if it is you might hit the jackpot.

Just scale the amount of videos you have and do what you did and post videos more often, it is same like you are on the first page, but with different accounts. Comment links from dummy accounts, pin them to top and add more replies and thumbs to these.

That's very true and also found out how the new youtube algo work if i'm not wrong they let authority channels that have good amount of subs to rank a video from day 1. So i guess the more old the channel and the more subs u have it makes it easy to rank
