Use DA as an indicator only, and nothing more.

Moz DA is as outdated and crap as Copyscape is for content checking. Why do you think there are hundreds of people offering to increase your site DA to DA50+ for $10?

You're getting upset for no reason. It seems like it's a barrier to entry for very difficult KD nothing more. To compete with other high DA players you must be competitive with DA. A DA 5 should never surpass a DA80 in serps for a very difficult keyword. Obviously, most of the keywords I mentioned at the start are stuck between websites with DA 40 and 80 and I am not going to waste time backlinking those keywords for position 1 until I can increase my da further to better compete with the DA 70-80 in the top 3. Consider DA as a "Competitive Score". Agreed moz is out of date and poorly optimized, however Moz DA is still useful metric when competing for very high KD. Manipulation of the DA may not grant you the same possibilities, but I personally have not tested DA manupulation.
