I'm not very active here, just reading most of the time, but it seems this forum is slowly dying.

I can see some premium and VIP members trying to find someone to buy their signature space unsuccessfully for weeks, it seems advertisers are not willing to spend much in this forum anymore. At least not as much or as easy as it was a while ago.

Not a surprise, there is an obscene amount of AI bots spamming the forum. I upgraded my account a few months ago, but it doesn't make sense to compete against bots, someone creates a ''i need a casino PBN" thread on WTB and in 5 minutes there are 84 answers from bots, waste of time for everyone, most of those bots are completely irrelevant and do not even fit the OP`s requirements. Just a game of bots.

Account farmers are also destroying the free resources of BHW, 90% of the answers are either obvious, irrelevant, generic or stupid. Someone asks ''how to create a paypal stealth account'', the answers are ''this is against the law, be careful'', ''you need a proxy (look at my signature)'', ''you can buy one on marketplace (no, you can't)'', ''use an anti-detect browser (check my banner)'', just useless answers coming from people trying to farm messages and reactions or to promote their banners, extremely rare to find something really useful nowadays. At this point, BHW looks like a full library with huge potential, but the books are just being contaminated by spammers.

This may be understood as a criticism to mods, but it's not. Mods on this forum are doing well,I guess the whole internet is just completely decadent, if you were active on internet in 2005 or 2015 you know what I'm talking about, things were different. Now, every social media is just a ton of AI slop, forums being used and abused by spammers, bots and astroturfers farming their shit. I mean, they could possibly improve some stuff on this forum, but in the end it seems unavoidable, even Reddit/FB/Tiktok/YouTube are just garbage nowadays and their budget/resources are endless, any kind of online community in 2026 and beyond tends to become just a spam deposit due to people trying to make money (selling or scamming) transforming the environment in garbage.

I’ve been reading this forum for more than 10 years, and last year I asked myself why I'd never been registered before. So I made an account and started engaging more, and honestly, I think you’re right about a lot of this.

There are definitely too many bot-like and AI-generic replies now. You can see it in the low-effort answers, the irrelevant comments, and the obvious attempts to farm posts, reactions, or push signatures. It’s not just here either; it’s happening everywhere. Reddit is full of it, social media is even worse, and most platforms are struggling with the same problem.

That said, I wouldn’t say BHW is dead. Flooded sometimes, yes. Harder to find the good stuff, yes. But dead, no. There is still a lot of useful information here if you know how to filter through the noise.

One thing I would suggest is reporting the obvious spam, bot-style replies, and completely irrelevant posts. From what I’ve seen, BHW does take action when things get reported properly, or at least they did whenever I reported something.

The internet in general has changed a lot. These days, everything is pushed by money, promotion, automation, and people trying to squeeze something out of every space online. That part probably won’t change. But I still think forums like this can have value, as long as real users keep posting real experiences and don’t let the bots completely take over.

Why in God's name would you post an AI-generated reply to a thread about AI forum spam and AI slop?

Agreed. I thought I was the only one who thought like this.

I feel this man.
I’ve been here for years and even I am only here now for my sales thread. I used to love this forum, it was a wealth of knowledge. Now, every thread I opened has replies straight from chatgpt, EVERY thread and even alot of threads ARE straight from ChatGPT.
I really dont understand how they can throw a possibly amazing forum to the ground like this

I understand the concern. Many online communities face similar challenges with automation and low-quality posts. However, forums like BHW still have value when experienced members share real insights. Strong moderation and quality contributions from users can help keep the community useful.
Another AI-generated reply to a thread about AI forum spam and AI slop.

Are you for real, or do you just want to pump your posts?

Can you tell me how my text is AI-generated?

Yeah it's crazy annoying. On platforms like YouTube, Facebook etc. it's easy to ignore, but not on forums since it's all about reading.

It's a clueless bot, posts on Lounge doesn't count for messages
This kind of ''member'' is what I'm talking about, those bots are so lazy that they do not even put a profile picture, just spamming any kind of nonsense

One thing I would suggest is reporting the obvious spam, bot-style replies, and completely irrelevant posts. From what I’ve seen, BHW does take action when things get reported properly, or at least they did whenever I reported something.
basically every post has AI replies
and I'm also seeing AI generated posts to farm likes
those bots on WTB, some of them automatically like OP's post
spammers are abusing it, they post ''I want to buy a casino backlink'', they instantly get 80 answers and 10 likes
others are creating generic posts like ''How can I create an ad on facebook?'', other bots come to answer this kind of lazy question and it becomes a whole discussion between bots
we'd need to have +50 mods or many idle members reporting everything to clean all this bot activity

We're locking this thread because we've had this discussion before and we give the same answers every single time.

If you are concerned about spam and AI-generated junk responses, report them! Yet not one single person in this thread is someone who I can remember reporting such posts.

The time spent having this same old discussion is time you could be spending alerting us to what you're complaining about. If you're that concerned about the 'imminent death of BHW' then you would do something about it. We're not going to keep telling you people the same things. Hit 'Report' - not 'Create New Thread'.
