It is possible to check your browsing history by using your ip address ?

Hello BHW !
I hope I picked a good forum section to ask about it.

Does anyone know if it is possible to check your browsing history by using your ip address ?

Maybe a properly formulated query with the ip address to google.com will show me the browsing history ?

This would be insanely scandalous if this was ever possible.
Though I believe google can probably have this information (which is really bad already), but making them publicly available would be the worst worldwide violation of privacy ever.

Well, you can see what sites people in your LAN are visiting in real-time if you know the ip-address of the "target", but as stated, it works only for people in your LAN.
It comes more in the hacking side than IM though...

So if I'm cracking one off in the living room, my wife can see what I'm looking at on her laptop upstairs?

Suddenly I am afraid.

If you both use the same internet connection, then, Yes.
But the technique, though easy, is actually not so common(not many people know about it).
If you'r wife is a computer geek, you can have a problem...Or else don't worry about it.

Nope. You can't check the browsing history using IP. This thread should have been in the Lounge section.
