Issues on meta title

When I write in google: "keyword x", I can see the right meta title, but when I write "keyword y" , I can't see the right meta title. Both keywords are optimized on the same page.

I am using YOAST plugin on wordpress. Where could be an issue?

Google is most likely rewriting them on purpose.

Algorithm finds the modified version to be more relevant to user's query.
