hey guys , i recently started doing affliate marketing on snapchat ads due to it having alot cheaper metrics than other platforms on certain offers , but now i have ran into an issue that is a major problem and i dont know how to fix it , ive already lost 400$+ in trouble shooting it and i cant find a solution

this is the main issue :

in my snapchat ad i made the destination url be my landing page for the offer and ofcurs i added a cta button so they click and actually go through the affliate tracking link and then the offer page but it seems like snapchats in app browser , webview , is just stopping tracking and removing certain strings and params which makes tracking nearly impossible and clicks are not registering and showing up in my affliate dashboard . ive tried countless method to just make the button redirect them to safari and leave the snapchat in app browser , but nothing is working , not deeplinks , not short link , not smart deeplinks and i tried all possible schemes but cant find anything . can anyone please help me , i really need help

For a little bit i did find a little fix , by making the ad destination just be a branch.io link that led straight to the affliate tracking link but this made my conversion rate stagerring low cause the landing page is needed to give them information and actually tell them what they will be getting and what they need to do

My first step would be to review the redirect chain on Snap’s webview and compare all parameters in the redirect hops.
If Branch redirect to offer works but not LP to offer, then there is likely a problem with the LP redirect and tracking.

I’d first check whether Snapchat’s in app browser is stripping or rewriting the affiliate parameters before they reach the offer. Instead of forcing users out to Safari, try keeping the full tracking flow server side with a proper redirect or tracking setup, then pass the required parameters through each step. Also compare the raw click logs with your affiliate dashboard to see exactly where the parameters disappear.

Yeah, I see the issue it’s not really the landing page itself, it’s the tracking getting broken somewhere between Snapchat’s WebView, your CTA and the affiliate URL. I’d trace the full click flow first and identify exactly where the params are being dropped rather than keep testing random redirects.
