Issue with sitemap - too many urls

Hi,
I'm facing an issue on google search console.
I got an error saying that :
Your sitemap has too many URLs. Create and send us multiple sitemaps with a maximum of 50,000 URLs each.

Indeed, I have more than 100 000 posts.
My website is using Wordpress cms. Is there a way to resolve this ?

As example - Yoast splits sitemap in pieces by having 1000 URLs in each sitemap by default.

I believe Rankmath can split your sitemap into batches of your choosing.

Edit: I was too slow.

Any SEO plugins will achieve it. You can setup the number of links you want per sitemap. Considering the huge number of links you have, it's not recommended to keep this number as low as 1k. You should also avoid as huge as 50k links per each sitemap. I'd suggest you to keep the number between 5k to 20k links per each sitemap.

don't! Yoast is garbage, many people having issues with it, which is understandable:

Just use RankMath, The SEO Framework, or any other SEO plugin (most of them should be able to split your sitemap into chunks)

I'm now using Rank Math because it was easier to split my sitemap.
